scrying question

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

If creatures have true seeing can they see the invisible "camera" that's spying on them? And what would it look like?

Yes, and it appears as a ball of light. Just a little wisp of magical energy.

At least this is what I recall, I may be wrong.

Don't know that it really says. In the Magic section in the CRB talking about the Divination school and scrying it merely says it is an "invisible magical sensor" with no further description noted. Under the Effect line for the Scrying spell itself it merely says "magical sensor". I do think a creature using True Seeing would see something but I think exactly what it is would be up to the GM. Might even vary depending on whether it was a divine caster vs arcane or even from caster to caster. Seeing the sensor is a matter of Perception, understanding what is being seen would be a function of Knowledge Arcana.

I tend to have them look exactly like the caster's eyeballs, floating in empty space. (Unless I want them to look like a floating point of light.)
