Evening all...

Going to be starting a new campaign and we were discussing what roles/characters to run. Party so far is:
Investigator (Empiracist)
Wizard (player wants to do controller/buff/debuff)
Oradin
Fighter...

I’m going to do the fighter but I was looking for some input. Best method to be a straight up damage dealer to to 2H fighter? Additionally, for my own benefit, does an Oradin produce enough healing to keep the party going or should I look into supplementing myself? Maybe doing a cleric or something. Thanks

I don't know what an Oradin is. Since I'm guessing you're the only full BAB character I'd go with a damage dealing murder machine. You may be the one that keeps all the party's bacon safe.

Oradin (oracle/paladin) tends to be very good at healing assuming the oracle part is life oracle. You should be doing fine as a 2H power attacking, cleaving wrecking machine. You could even be a dwarf, use a dwarven dorn durgar, and "come in like a wrecking ball," which opens up the dwarvish cleaving, natural armor, and saving throw feats.

Oradin as was explained to me is Oracle/Paladin build centered off lifelink and swift actions to lay on hands the paladin. He has some channels too for healing. Wasn't sure how much he could generate if someone took a big hit.

I like the sound of Damage Dealing Murder Machine... would you recommend a 2H fighter build or something else?

I look into the Dwarf idea. Jumping off point for the adventure is based on the movie four brothers... i.e. four adopted siblings going after something that took out their adoptive parents.

Think the Oradin player is a Half-Elf, the Wizard is an Elf, Invesitgator is leaning towards Human presently... so dwarf could be fun.

Good melee damage dealers from what I've seen tend to be 2H fighters, 2H or 2 weapon rangers, slayers, barbarians, or bloodragers. Warpriests and magi are pretty good as well, but that relies more on spellcasting which may not be what you are after here.
