Spidersilk armour?

New actually different weapons?

Just when you think you're out, they pull you back in. I had just found a 1st printing Ultimate Equipment and thought I was done buying books. Now this will be the last one... Probably.

What do you guys think of the combat shields designed to be dual-wielded that increase each other's shield bonuses? ;)

Or the spidersilk bodysuit, with its +3 armor bonus, +6 max Dex, -1 ACP, and 10% arcane spell failure? Make it a +5 armor and that's a penalty-free +8 AC bonus to anyone not proficient in armor! Now if we can just get around the arcane spell failure for our casters...

How about a new exotic two-handed "butcher axe" that does 3d6 20/x3 base damage in return for a -2 to hit UNLESS you have 19 Strength (if Med) or 17 Strength (if Small)?
Hmmm... Sounds like it's a PERFECT fit for someone with the Savage Critical feat.
Ouch!

I remember there was a thread a couple years back where viable dual shields were being argued for; James Jacobs questioned why people wanted the option, what had inspired people to think that dual shields were a cool idea. Everyone in the thread(myself included) answered the same; that episode of Samurai Jack where he teams up with the Spartans and ends up fighting off the giant evil robot with a pair of shields after giving the Spartan king his sword.

I for one am glad to see that niche finally being filled.

Composite bows have a strength requirement.

Not neccesarily. You can totally have a composite bow with +0 strength.

Is everyone aware that these modifications do require a new feat to avoid penalties? Either Modified Weapon Proficiency or Weapon Adept. Of course Fighters can easily afford that feat tax...others, not as much.

Silver Crusade

That's only if it moves the weapon beyond what Proficiencies you have.

Not necessarily. Someone with martial weapon proficiency can still use a modified simple weapon without issues. See this example.

Simple weapon, of course.
Just noticed that no one had mentioned it and was getting the impression people might not know about it.
