Looking for Items and Feats for Natural Attacks - PFS legal

Advice

I'm looking for items and feats to help with Natural Attacks that are PFS legal.

Did some searches and what does come up is not PFS character legal.
(most suggestions are monster feats)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What's your plan so far for a Natural Attack PFS Character?

I have 1 or 2.

I was thinking of playing a Tengu with Claws.

I take 1 or 2 levels in Ranger, most of the rest in Warpriest. Also, a level in White Haired Witch. Acquire a Helm of the Mammoth Lord. So your Full Attack is Hair, Bite, Gore, and 2 Claws, all doing Warpriest Sacred Weapon Damage in place of your Natural Attack Damage.

Plus, you can buff yourself with things like Magic Weapon, Magic Fang, Weapon Against Evil, and Strong Jaw to bypass DR and make your DPR scary.

White Hair gets a Grapple Attack. Wear Armor Spikes, so you get to do Armor Spike Damage with every hit. Take Hamatula Strike, so all your Piercing Attacks: Gore and Bite, also get it. You need Improved Grapple for Hamatula Strike. You need Improved Unarmed Strike for Improved Grapple, so get those all at once with a 1 level dip in Monk or Brawler. Now you get to add an Unarmed Strike to your Full Attack. Take Snake Fang, and your US does Piercing Damage and benefits from Hamatula Strike. Take Feral Combat Training Claws, and your Claws get in on the act, too.

Rather than go Warpriest, you might go Ninja or Rogue. Your Sneak Attack Damage will be mulitplied by the number of attacks you get. What are we up to: Hair + Armor Spikes/Bite & Spike/Gore & Spike/Unarmed & Spike/2 Claws & 2 Spikes, so 12 attack/round.

Take Dirty Trick Feats to lock in your Sneak Attack Damage by making your opponents Blinded: no Dex. Or take Shatter Defenses and Cornudgeon Smash to make your opponents Flatfooted. Or take Greater Feint to make them lose their Dex Mods that way. Take a 1 level dip in Arcanist for Dimensional Slide to achieve Flanking.

Doing the Cornudgeon Smash thing really works best with Bludgeoning weapons that do nonlethal damage, so if you do that, forget about Hamatula Strike and Armor Spikes, and instead do Sap Adept, Sap Master, and Knockout Punch. Hair, Bite, Claws, and Unarmed Strikes all do Bludgeoning Damage. You can take Feral Combat Training to apply Knockout Artist to your Natural Attacks.

Carry a longbow: why not? Use your Bow at range. Close in and use your Natural Attacks. You don't even have to put down your bow: switching hands is a Free Action.

Amulet of Mighty Fists, of course. Belt of Strength (or Dex if you are going Unchained), Headband of Intellect (you Witch!), there's that Ioun Stone that gives you a +1 on all attack rolls.

I have some ideas about getting Natural Attacks via Wildshape, you know, a Druidzilla Character.

For a Druidzilla PFS character, I was thinking a level in Brawler, 4 levels in Druid, and after that some combination of levels in Fighter and Brawler that add up to 4, a level in White Haired Witch for that extra Attack, and then levels in Warpriest for that Sacred Weapon Damage bumped up to size Huge maybe after you take Shaping Focus. The reason for taking 4 levels in Fighter and Brawler is so you can take the Human Feat Martial Versatility, which lets you apply Weapon Focus (and therefore Sacred Weapon) and Weapon Specialization to all the weapons in a the first weapon's weapon Group, in this case the Natural Weapon Group. That way, you get to enhance your Natural Attacks regardless of the form you take.

Pick favorite forms, and acquire Barding in the shape you want. Put that on as soon as you take your new form. Something with Armor Spikes: I like Armor Spikes.

I'm not settled on my favorite forms. For when I need to Fly, Quetzalcouatlus, of course, for Aquatic, Giant Octopus--too bad we can't take Multiattack in PFS--and for land either Megaraptor, Dire Tiger, Allosaurus, or Warcat. Megaraptors and Dire Tigers get 5 Attacks to the others' only 3, but the Allosaurus and the Warcat are Size Huge to the others' size large. I'm not sure which is better.

Trying something odd/different.

Going to make a transmutation wizard that will you the self poly spells.
So very leery about anything that hurts my 'to hit'. Plan is to use a bunch of utility spells for out of combat then once in combat, transform into something big and nasty.

So looking for stuff to improve my 'to hit'.

Really, a Wizard, a Wizard Wizard? To improve your chances of hitting, my first recommendation is to be something other than a Wizard.

Few things are so very hurtful to your 'to hit' than being a Wizard.

You could be a Magus: Alter Self as a level 2 spell, Beast Shape and Monstrous Physique as Level 3 Spells. Your BAB will be +3 every 4 levels instead of +1 every 2 levels. You will be able to wear armor, which will stay on you if you are Polymorphing into Humanoids and Monstrous Humanoids. Plus you can keep casting spells while in combat. Several of the Magus Arcanae help in combat. Your Arcane pool will help in combat.

But if this is your goal

Then go with the Druidzilla I recommended earlier. You get your utility spells. Your Wildshape lasts for an hour/level instead of a minute/level. By the time you are a level 8 Wildshaper, you can stay in your Animal form 24 hours/day: 8 hours/use X 3 uses/day. If you take the Natural Spell Feat, you can cast your spells while in Animal Form. That's not so easy as when you are under the influence of Beast Shape. And you get a much better BAB than you do as a Wizard.
