Grenadier: infusing alchemical item into bomb?

Rules Questions

I'm looking at the grenadier alchemist archetype.

Alchemical Weapon (Su)

At 2nd level, a grenadier can infuse a weapon or piece of ammunition with a single harmful alchemical liquid or powder, such as alchemist's fire or sneezing powder, as a move action.

Is a bomb an eligible target for the infusion? I.e., is it possible to coat a bomb with alchemist's fire for extra damage or a tanglefoot bag for some entanglement?

I've gathered that bombs are generally considered weapons, so I guess it should be possible.

Probably not.

Regular bombs don't exist long enough - creating one and throwing it is a single action, there's just no time in between to "fiddle" with the thing.

A Delayed Bomb might qualify. But the wierd thing is that, being splash weapons, Bombs aren't in the list of regular weapons nor in the list of Ammunitions. So you have to ask your GM: is a Splash Weapon a Weapon?

Ah, right. Forgot that one, tiny yet crucial detail on how bombs work. Thanks.

The workaround is to use the Exploding Missile discovery. As a grenadier you gain proficiency with a martial weapon, so get a composite longbow. Suddenly your operational range has drastically increased.

And if you happen to worship Erastil there's that trait...
