How can the following environments be classified?:
From Pathfinder RPG. Dirt Sea of Hold of Belkzen (desert or swamp????)
From Magic the Gathering, the plane of Mirrodin has unique locations: Razorfields - a field of metallic grass (Temperate plains????),
Quicksilver Sea - a body of liquid metal (Temperate aquatic???),
Mephidross swamp - a wasteland of toxic wastes (warm swamps????),
Oxidda Chain - a badland of iron structures (Warm mountains????) and Tangle - a grove of copper tree-like structures (Warm or temperate forests?????)
From James Cameroon's Avatar movie, the unique floating mountains (warm mountains or islands?????)
others include;
- A toxic mutated forest (warm forest????)
- A magical forest with trees that have everlasting flames burning around all time (a burning forest - Warm forests/mountsins?????)

For what purpose are these classifications?
(If it's for encounter tables, I'm pretty sure you'd be better classifying the Quicksilver Sea as a region of Elemental Earth, pretty sure regular fish etc can't survive in liquid mercury)
The classification is just for curiosity......The creatures of Mirrodin have bio-organic metals growing in their bodies to withstand the harsh environment and adding a hint of magical fantasy.....

Living metal sounds super appropriate to use en mass here!
Living Metals.... Yes, in case of elementals, oozes and advanced mechanical lifeforms. But if you look into some of the creature cards of Magic the Gathering Mirrodin cards, there are creature concepts which have strange flesh-metal symbiosis!!!!!
