I'm sure there's a good reason for it, but I'm not sure what it is.
Why don't allies who have spellcasting-class traits (the various Clerics and Oracles and Wizards, for example) have the Divine and/or Arcane traits? Probably just game balance, but it seems weird to me that Father Zantus is a cleric with the divine trait, but as far as I know, he's the exception rather than the rule.
To be fair, I haven't gone sifting through EVERY card in EVERY deck in EVERY game, though, so if there are others, please let me know. :)

I think at least part of the reason is that Alahazra is the best character EVER! Which is to say, she can recharge a card with the divine trait to scout the top of any location deck. And I don't think they want that to apply to allies. You also get characters like Mother Myrtle, who get a chance to recharge anything with the divine trait. Basically, the divine trait does more in current sets and characters than it did in RotR, and they don't necessarily want it applying to allies too.
Or at least, that has been my assumption every time Alahazra acquires the Besmaran Priest.
"Token of Remembrance is the best Cure spell ever!" says every Kyra stuck with one.
But yeah, I think it's just to limit what all you can do with those Allies. The ones who could give us more insight, though, are the folks with databases with traits. (Hint, hint. :)

I think the Shaman ally also has the Divine trait.
Cat, Lizard, and Toad all have Arcane.

This is basically why I wanted to know. I'm playing Alahazra and wanted to make a 100% Divine deck. Still, 13/15 ain't bad.
