OK, folks. I am sort of known to start things that take off pretty well. So, I have a proposition....
We might be a small convention, but we are still a convention! And one thing that I keep seeing at conventions are badge ribbons. Such ribbons are coveted at conventions, with people trying to collect as many as possible, and having fun doing it!
So, I would like to see different groups and persons create their own humorous and Pathfinder-themed ribbons to hand out to fellow con-goers. Wayfinder will definitely be handing some out, and I do believe that the Razmiran Faith Barge Union #107 will be providing ribbons to prospective new members.....;-) I also think I'll be printing a small, elite set for PaizoCon first-timers and/or PaizoCon Founding Members (attended the 1st PaizoCon).
Honestly, the possibilities are ENDLESS. And ribbons can be had at 100 for $30 or so....easily done online.
So, who's game to start a new tradition for PaizoCon?
Let's use this thread to knock some ideas around, and if you want to commit to joining this cause, state your ribbon idea and how many you plan on bringing to hand out.

Badges are 4 inches wide, so those type. You can make them as deep as you want (1 5/8 or 2 inches are what I've seen), depending on what text and line art you are putting on them.
Darran Caldemeyer inspired me, btw. He was thinking about button pins, but at $2 a pop, that would be cool, but pricey. Ribbons are a convention staple, and much cheaper to give out.

I have a Gen Con badge holder.
It doesn't work very well for ribbons, sadly, and I need to use it because pin badge-holders aren't very good for me.
The PaizoCon badges (at least for the last several years) come in a holder with a string to wear it around your neck, so no pins are needed.
(When my partner was quite young and attending Catholic school, she asked a nun how they kept their habits on and was told "with pins." She spent a lot of years wondering if nuns' heads were somehow different, and could tolerate having pins driven into them. Paizo would never subject us to such a thing. Right?)

I'd like to get in on this. Looking around I found three sites quickly:
All three have a $14 setup fee for custom prints (definitely check their "In-Stock" selection), and shipping looks to be roughly $10 (FedEx+$3, $9, $11.95 respectively). Summing to about $50 total for 100 ribbons, or ~$82 for 250.
PC/Nametag had the best interface (live preview, etc), and Marco the lower shipping.

Walker Schlundt, Venture-Lieutenant, Alabama—Montgomery created Venture-Lieutenant and Venture-Captain Badge ribbons for GenCon 2014. He still has a lot of them left. He's currently looking if some of his locals is going to PaizoCon and if so he'll ask them to bring the ribbons along! (If not, ship them via post).

Don't worry, guys, it's not like they can pin your mouth closed or anything.
