In the Magical Child archetype of the new vigilante class, it is stated "A magical child casts arcane spells and cantrips as an unchained summoner". Does this mean their casting stat is Charisma as the unchained summoner's is? I figure probably yes, but it's not outright stated. (Similarly, the warlock is stated to cast like a magus, but their casting stat isn't outright stated.) Should the "as a [existing class]" phrasing automatically be read to use the same casting stat as the original class?

Well, I feel stupid now.
Then again, that's a common feeling for me. Thanks.
Don't feel bad, its a very new, very abridged format.
Hopefully it catches on, because freelancers, designers, and developers will get much more space to create new content if we have a quick and easy way to annote spellcasting modifications like this. (As opposed to, say, the eldritch scion magus or the psychic detective investigator that have entire paragraphs about their spellcasting modifications that, in the long run, don't really say anything new.)

It says that all vigilante archetypes with spellcasting use whatever stats the original class used. So magical child would use unchained summoner stats.
