Summoner in PFS question

Since it isn't directly stated, I've been curious:

Are all the "normal" summoner archetypes banned because only the Unchained Summoner is legal in PFS? Or are they compatible with the Unchained version?

Furthermore, are feats, classes, and archetypes which use rules from the normal summoner class legal in PFS? Examples being any feat/class/archetype that gains access to evolution points from APG.

I don't own the Unchained book haven't read it, but I've been curious on this point. Maybe it's explained there, though this is meant as a PFS specific question.

IIRC they're not compatable with the new summoner.

Summoner archetypes are, in general, legal in PFS, given a few limitations.

Unchained Summoners cannot use certain legal archetypes that alter certain things on eidolons, as specified in Pathfinder Unchained.
APG Summoners, which were grandfathered, can use any of the PFS legal Summoner archetypes.
Some Summoner archetypes were banned from PFS, notably the Synthesist and Master Summoner archetypes.

So, I am not sure what archetypes you are referencing, unless it is the Synthesist and Master Summoner archetypes, which were banned for reasons.

Well, that answers the first bit, thanks. Any clue on the second bit?

Mostly wondering if I've got a feat/class ability that references evolution points from APG, am I able to use it, despite the summoner from that source no longer being legal? Seems kinda iffy.

IIRC almost half the Summoner archetypes are illegal even for APG summoners (with Syntesist and Master being the most notable of those)

Also, it is directly stated what archetypes are legal for Unchained

The unchained summoner qualifies for all existing summoner archetypes, save those that modify the eidolon's type or base form.

So any of the legal archetypes for the APG that don't modify the eidolon type or base form. As far as I know this leaves Counter-Summoner, Morphic Savant, Naturalist, Pyroclast, Shaitan Binder, and Unwavering Conduit as legal archetypes while making First Worlder and Wild Caller illegal. I think both Story Caller and Evolutionist end up illegal for modifying base forms at level 8 but those two I'm less clear on.

As far as I know the feats are still legal (evolution points and such are still part of the class just less so). Always worth double checking versus Additional Resources though.

This. Why is this not in the PFS document? Or in the additional resources, or the FAQ?

I like PFS, but I hate having to rely on hard-to-find FAQs.

I digress. Thank you.

Because if I remember correctly its a Pathfinder rule and not something that Pathfinder Society came up with if I remember correctly.
