Unusual sized characters and mounts

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

Hi.
I'm going to build a Small character riding a Tiny creature.
"How is this possible?", you may ask. Simple! The character is an Alchemist with the Tumor Familiar Discovery, and the creature is his Tiny familiar (duh?!). Enlarge Person via share spells, and the familiar becomes Small, while Reduce Person on himself and the Alchemist becomes Tiny: sizes swap!
Now, is this an efficient idea? Nop.
Is this a cool (in roleplay-terms) idea? Of course it is!
Ant Haul should be enough, but I still want evaluate all the numbers about weights. So, I'm asking you: can you help me?
I start:

Carry load:
-Small x3/4
-Tiny x1/2

Armors weight:
-Small x1/2
-Tiny x1/10

Weapons weight:
-Small x1/2
-Tiny x?

Gear weight (only those depending on size):
-Small x1/4
-Tiny x?

In particular...Saddle (Exotic, Military):
-Small x?
-Tiny x?

I'm going to play tomorrow...please help me :\

EDIT: How about not size-depending gear? My inventory is composed almost only by alchemicals, and their weight is not linked to size. While I imagined that they're simply built in one size, Reduce Person actually shrink them, or does it?

Silver Crusade

Regarding your alchemical weapons, it doesn't really matter if they shrink or grow with you. As soon as they leave your person they revert back to their original size.

There is the "Undersized Mount" feat that allows you to ride a mount of the same size.
One less spell to have to rely on.

Scarab Sages

You can also give your familiar the mauler archetype to let it grow to medium without needing spells.

Silver Crusade

1) I know that Reduce Person doesn't work on things that leave you. I was asking about their weight, not their effect.
2) I know about Undersized Mount, but in no way, in the whole universe, a feat could be better than a spell that does the same thing.
3) I know about the Mauler, in fact I'm going to use that, at 3rd. Now I'm at 2nd.

->4) Is there anyone in the world who actually reads the thread and answers to the sentences that end with a "?". I'm asking about weights, all the remainder is context.

Anyway I solved the problem in these ways:
-Reduce Person reduce the creature's weight by a factor 8. Is gear part of the creature's weight? Yes, otherwise I could not calculate the new weight of the reduced inventory, because RAWs are incomplete.
-The Exotic Military Saddle weights the same for any size. 40 lbs for Huge creatures, still 40 lbs for Tiny ones. Is that logic? No. Is that by RAW? Yes.

All the size-scaling weights that I pointed above are still unknown, so the thread is still open.

This spell causes instant diminution of a humanoid creature, halving its height, length, and width and dividing its weight by 8.

All equipment worn or carried by a creature is similarly reduced by the spell.

Compliments of the Axebeak Sanctuary Society.

Actually, it depends on whether it is considered to be a projectile or thrown weapon (or attached to either of those via that one discovery).

If it is either of those, then reduce person stays in effect. This seems odd, and counter to what enlarge person does.... but this is mostly a balance concern due to archers, since reduce person can be a pure buff for them (particularly gunslingers and bolt aces) since it gives them +2 to attack (enlarge person gives a net +0 to attack since the str boost is canceled out by the size modifier).

The reduced damage dice is the penalty that gets applied to archers for the other various buffs.

Of course, with all this, I am not sure if alchemical weapons actually have any size dependent dice. So this is largely a moot point anyway.

They don't. Neither do alchemist bombs. That's why it's such a good idea to be a small alchemist (or at least a major contributing factor).

Reduce Person: "Any reduced item that leaves the reduced creature's possession (including a projectile or thrown weapon) instantly returns to its normal size."

Ah yes, I was thinking about the line that comes after that

This means that thrown weapons deal their normal damage (projectiles deal damage based on the size of the weapon that fired them).

I was messing up the exact details in my head, since the enlarge/reduce line do have those balance induced inconsistencies between them (since enlarge DOESN'T play by that rule, and just reduces projectiles to 'medium', while reduce keeps the damage at 'small'....or 'small/tiny' if you are halfing or something).

The subject is about unknown weights marked with the "?". The thing about Reduce Person is just a sub-question (that I solved applying the x1/8 factor to gear too, without knowing that was stated in the rules, so thanks for pointing out that. But still, does it mean that gear is just resized retaining its weight? Does it change its weight? The same apply for Enlarge Person:

).

Still the thing about saddles bugs me. Aside this extreme case (ok, Tiny saddles, it's ok that RAWs don't talk about that), Medium mounts are quite common. A Wolf Companion is a Medium sized mount for an Halfling, and with is 13 in Str, it could carry 50 lbs + 25 lbs for being a quadruped. 30 lbs for a Military saddle is just too much in my opinion.
