Is "class ability" defined somewhere?

After a bit of searching I can't see that "class ability" is defined anywhere.

At first I assumed it was things such as a fighter's weapon training, a cavalier's tactician, a cleric's channel, etc. But looking at their entries in the PRD, on the table, these are defined under the "special" column. Scroll down, and the definitions for these are under "features". So what exactly is a "class ability"?

My search for a definition started because I was wondering if a nature oracle with the Mount revelation worked for the Monstrous Mount feat (prereq of "mount class ability"). I'd assumed that "revelation" was the class ability, but I don't see anything that says that the "mount revelation" wouldn't be class ability. It is an "ability" granted by my "class" so I don't know if it would/wouldn't work.

I assume this is for PFS purposes?

Here's some really good reading on the matter.

Did you get it from levels in a class? It isn't BAB, saves, or HP? Then it is a class ability.

I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Monstrous Mount:

Prerequisite(s): Handle Animal 4 ranks; Ride 4 ranks; divine bond (mount), hunter's bond (animal companion), or mount class feature with an effective druid level of 4.

Bonded Mount:
Bonded Mount (Su): You gain the service of an unusually intelligent, strong, and loyal mount. The creature must be one that you are capable of riding and is suitable as a mount. A Medium oracle can select a camel or a horse. A Small oracle can select a pony or wolf, but can also select a boar or a dog if she is at least 4th level. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion, using your oracle level as your effective druid level. Bonded mounts have an Intelligence score of at least 6.

Seems pretty clear. If a DM is hung up on the phrase "class ability" you probably have bigger problems than this one Feat. But then, it may also depend on what mount you are trying to acquire and how powerful it makes the character.

If it were clear Nefreet wouldn't've linked me SKR's post. And I have no idea which side you stand on because it's not clear. Is the bonded mount revelation gained by the oracles nature mystery a mount class feature?

Technically it's an animal companion class feature, but... well, if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and is a selectable ability of a class feature called bonded duck, it's a frickin' duck.

Basically if you have the ability it should work, no matter if I have a class feature or I got it from a feat.

This combo passes the "Things should be the same, or they should be different" test.
