Demoic Implants

Advice

I'm currently in the Adventure Path Rise of the Runelords and I have been eyeing the nice demonic arm that Nualia has. Online sources and even Book of the Damned Volume Two, where the demonic talon is explicitly mentioned are vague and unhelpful about what it's effects on the individual are. Only debuffs are mentioned if the person implanted upon is Good/Lawful. Is there any existing information about the demonic talon, third-party or otherwise and if there is not, would anyone think of a balanced benefit of taking the demonic talon?

Archives of nethys lists demonic implants.

Yea, unfortunately demonic talons don't have any effect other than an aesthetic one, being scaled, clawed and such and bestowing a negative level if the implantee is Good or Lawful. Does having a demonic hand even do anything outside of a roleplay perspective?

AH... Did you actually go to the site and look at the entry? Demonic talons gain a claw attack which you'd know is you actually went and looked... :P

Oh wow, reading is hard. I had the damn book too. Claw attacks feeling pretty useless for my Arcane Sorcerer. Thanks a ton! Hope I can convince my DM to make it something a bit more useful.

Yes, most implants are best for a melee/martial/natural attack character. About the best implant for an Arcane Sorcerer is Demon Senses or Wicked Wings.

Too bad Nualia only has a demonic arm. Lopping that off and convincing my DM that my neutral character would just attach it onto his arm is going to be hard enough.

IMS, the tongue graft grants +8 to Perception. That's pretty nice.

Also, this seems like the sort of thing that I as a DM would roleplay the hell out of. You get a demonic graft, on hand I'd be liberal in the good stuff you get from it -- not just a claw attack, but +2 to grapple checks! And +2 to intimidate evil creatures! And, I don't know, maybe now you understand Abyssal!

But on the other hand you also get weird bestial impulses, strange dreams, voices whispering in your ears, or even the graft suddenly acting on its own sometimes a la Doctor Strangelove's arm. (If you never saw the movie, his arm was usually paralyzed, but would sometimes rise up and try to strangle him.) Will saves galore!

No, those things aren't RAW. You have a piece of a demon grafted on to you, man. RAW is just a starting point now.
