Intensified Spell

Rules Questions

Just trying to figure how it works.

Must a char be level ten in order to get the full effect of an Intensified Shocking Grasp or level six? Or does it add an additional 1D6 for each caster level beyond the fifth to a max of caster level ten?

Additional d6 per CL until a cap of 10.

Intensify Spell simply raises the limiton benefit from CL for a particular spell.

Sczarni

You can benefit from the feat at 6th level.

You'd do 6d6 damage instead of 5d6.

It raises the cap of a spell. Normally, Shocking Grasp reads:

"Your successful melee touch attack deals 1d6 points of electricity damage per caster level (maximum 5d6)."

An intensified Shocking Grasp would read:

"Your successful melee touch attack deals 1d6 points of electricity damage per caster level (maximum 10d6)."

You still need the actual caster levels to deal the full 10d6 of damage.

Gotcha! Thanks all.
