Honestly can I do better at this? Wanting a flanking companion.

Advice

I started off wanting to make a character going a ranged direction but ended up going completely opposite of that. I completely wasted away the day with the computer being on the dump trying to pass the time.

What I'm trying to do here is have a decent melee striker who can do his damage with or without his animal companion, and be able to do stuff besides just attack with a weapon.

What I came up with, it seems to me anyway, that I could have done something far better perhaps. So far this is what I have in really no order of preference.

Human with bonus feat. Traits... haven't decided yet besides Reactionary. STR 22, DEX 14, CON 14, INT 7, WIS 14, CHA 7
FORT 14, REF 12, WILL 7

Again in no order for level 13:
2 levels in Cavalier Beastrider/Gendarme w/Order of Cockatrice
3 levels in Inquisitor Sacred Huntmaster
3 levels in Hunter vanilla
1 level in Brawler Snakebite Striker
4 levels in Rogue Scout/Thug

What this nets me is +10 BAB, 8 feats from levels w/human bonus, 2 teamwork feats, Outflank bonus feat, Dazzling Display bonus feat, Power Attack bonus feat from Gendarme, 2 feats through Rogue Talents, +3d6 Sneak Attack.

Cavalier Beast Rider/Gendarme of Order of Cockatrice gives me Power Attack, Dazzling Display and +2 Morale bonus to attacks on Demoralized targets and 2 effective Druid animal companion levels.

Sacred Huntsmaster gives me 3 effective Druid AC levels, Wisdom to Initiative, Spells, 1/2 level to Initmidate/Sense Motive, Wisdom to monster Knowledge checks, Solo Tactics/Teamwork feat, Domain, Detect Alignments and Track.

Hunter gives me 3 effective Druid AC levels, Spells, Nature training, Outflank feat, Animal Focus, Hunter tactics/Teamwork feat, Track and Wild Empathy.

Snakebite Striker gives me +1d6 Sneak Attack, Brawler Cunning which allows me to dump INT and still get INT based feats, Unarmed Strike and Close Weapon group proficiency.

Scout/Thug Rogue gives me +2d6 Sneak Attack, Evasion, sneak attack on charges, +1 round of Shaken, ability to turn Shaken to Frightened, ability to make Sickened and 2 feats from talents.

Teamwork feats including Outflank are Paired Opportunists & Pack Flanking.

Power Attack, Hurtful, Weapon Focus Nodachi, Dazzling Display, Shatter Defenses, Improved Initiative, Intimidating Prowess, Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, Boon Companion, Cornugon Smash and Improved Critical.

What I need to get is a big boost to my Intimidate skill. Class skills are all over the place.

Proficiency in light/medium armor and shields, simple/martial/close weapon group weapons/unarmed strike/hand & repeating crossbows.

12th level animal companion that can be ridden.

Spells from Inquisitor/Druid/Ranger lists.

Sneak attacking on a charge, on flanking and upon any shaken/frightened/panicked foe. Also +4 hit on flanking/AoO's too.
Hurtful will allow me to combine with Cornugon Smash to get a free intimidate check when I damage someone w/power attack, which will give me a swift action attack if successful and Shatter Defenses will allow that to be a sneak attack.

Things I need to get are a boost to Intimidate, Initiative, Will saves, and static damage. Not sure on what pet but leaning towards a Cat of some kind. Also need a trait and a cool Domain/Inquisition.

I think this build is a mess and wonder what can be done to salvage it.

Ever think of the KISS rule?

Admittedly, I think this build can get what you want done, but a straight 13 levels of Inquisitor or Hunter will get you what you want better, imo.

So spells. CLW, Lead Blades, Burst Bonds are the key spells you want. Also, pick up the CL Ioun stone, to help with CL.

For pet, if you are not dead set on a kitty, I suggest the Velociraptor. It has 5 attack, 2 - 1d8, 1 - 1d6, 2 - 1d4. It also gets pounce, low-light and scent. It is also small/medium so no worries in dungeons. With outflank, those 5 attacks give you a good shot at passing crits back and forth.

Make a ratfolk with a dire rat companion (if your gm allows it) that way you get flank when you and your companion are in the same area (you don't even have to flank to be flanking). Hell you can do this by dipping into any of the classes that give you a familiar. Unless you really really want to ride your flank buddy. Or just get the magic item in the ARG that summons dire rats that is in the ratfolk section.

Straight Primal Hunter Companion

when you companion dies you inherit all the evolutions, either way you either have an amazing companion or your fairly amazing yourself. its like being a summoner syntheist but without the stigma or baggage ;)

plus its a nice little revenge on the GM for killing your companion to turn around and evo huge form multiattack his BBEG to death out of spite :)
