Mythril Fighting Fan

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

I want to build a fighting fan as mythril to get it to overcome silver without taking a -1 on damage. However mythril is priced by weight, and the fighting fan is less then a pound and therefore weightless. It does have metal parts though. So how much does it cost? Free would just be silly.

While the pricing chart doesn't really account for "weightless" items, there's this: "Weapons or armors fashioned from mithral are always masterwork items as well; the masterwork cost is included in the prices given below."

Given that a steel masterwork weapon adds 300gp to the cost, a mithral weapon should add at least that. Personally I would price it at +500gp (so 505gp) as if it were a 1 pound item, but that would just be my own house-rule.

The listing on the paizo site slists shields armour prices, everything else is 500gold a lb. Typically its listed at - when its less than half a lb.
I would likely just do 1/4th cost for the lb. 125 for the mithral cost.
Yeah it's awfully cheap, but its only used on the stems.
Alternatively, I feel like I remember a rule, but it could be my gms ho7se rule for this sorta situation, that said you had to buy at least a lb of s9ecial material because the market sells 1lv ingots and not less, and for the craftsmanship.
