Supportive Character.

Advice

Silver Crusade

Hi guys, I wanted to play a supportive character in pathfinder society. I had thought of two options, can I get some opinions on them? I have the Aasimar grandfathered in, so no worries on that front.

Classes: Aasimar Paladin 2/Lunar Oracle 10 (Tongues/Haunted FCB Primal Companion)

Stats:
Str: 12
Dex: 7
Con: 14
Int: 12
Wis: 10 (8 + 2)
Cha: 20 (18 + 2)

Feat:
1. Noble Scion (War)
3. Extra Revelation (Primal Companion) (Possibly Retrained Later)
5. Skill Focus (Knowledge: Religion)
7. Eldritch Heritage: Arcana
9. Improved Initiative
11. Toughness

Revelations:
3. Prophetic Armor
5. Misfortune
7. Mantle of Moonlight
9. Touch of the Moon
Extra: Primal Companion

This would give me 1/day smite, charisma to saves, AC, and a level 15 animal companion that i can buff with spells such as divine favor.

The other option is more supportive for the entire party.

Classes: Aasimar Paladin 2/Lunar Oracle 1 (Tongues)/ Bard 9(FCB: increase inspire courage)

Feat:
1. Noble Scion (War)
3. Extra Performance (retrained possibly, or 1 level of Bard at level 3)
5. Master Performer
7. Flagbearer
9. Improved Initiative
11. Grand Master Performer

Revelation:
Prophetic Armor

This would give me charisma to saves, AC, 1/day smite, +2 morale bonus with flagbearer/banner of the ancient kings. Inspire Courage +6 (2 performer feats and with items and FCB treated as level 17). 1st level oracle spells, 3rd level Bard Spells (Haste! :D), as well as boss social skills.

Let me know what you think.

Are you set on Aasimar? ACG has a new feat that lets you Aid Another as a move action. Add that to the Helpful trait for a halfling, and you can Aid Another twice per round, doing stuff like providing +4 AC and +4 to hit. Or actually make your attack and use your move action to give your buddy +4 to hit.

edit: actually I just checked and it's an Investigator talent, not a feat.

edit2: if you burn an inspiration point, you could arguably aid the same ally thrice to give him +12 on attack or +12 to AC, by using your swift, move, and standard actions all to Aid Another.

Aid Another wrote:
In melee combat, you can help a friend attack or defend by distracting or interfering with an opponent. If you're in position to make a melee attack on an opponent that is engaging a friend in melee combat, you can attempt to aid your friend as a standard action. You make an attack roll against AC 10. If you succeed, your friend gains either a +2 bonus on his next attack roll against that opponent or a +2 bonus to AC against that opponent's next attack (your choice), as long as that attack comes before the beginning of your next turn. Multiple characters can aid the same friend, and similar bonuses stack.

Yea I am set on aasimar, and at least 1 level of oracle and 2 levels of paladin. The difference is if I go bard, or continue down oracle.

The buffer Bard gets insanely good, that being said I'm fairly certain master performer isn't PFS legal. I was looking into this build and think its ban hammered. You can still pump out +6 attack/damage in the first round. If playing full support I'd do the bard build, though I may try and cut the dips as that actually hurts being a support bard.

Speaking of which, I played with a support bard in eyes, he was insanely useful!

Silver Crusade

I just read the additional resources, this is all it had next to Faction Guide.

Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Faction Guide Feat: Fast Crawl; Spells: hibernate, tripvine; Traits: Beast of the Society,
Berserker of the Society, Blade of the Society, Defender of the Society, Exalted
of the Society, Greater Adept of the Society, Havoc of the Society, Honored
Fist of the Society, Maestro of the Society, Stalwart of the Society, Tracker of
the Society

It doesn't say anywhere that its banned form play.

Here is an exerpt from Ultimate Combat. The following feats are not allowed in Pathfinder Society Organized
Play: Expert Driver, Field Repair, Master Combat Performer, Master Siege
Engineer, Performance Weapon Master, Performing Combatant, Secret Stash
Deed, Siege Commander, Siege Engineer, Siege Gunner, Skilled Driver,, and
all performance feats.

Neither of the performance feats are in UC

Yeah, so the only legal feat from there is fast crawl. Otherwise it days all feats are legal except...

Silver Crusade

oh :(

Would Flame Dancer (new bard archtype) stack with Dawnflower Dervish?

I want to see a Dawnflower Dervish/Flame Dancer /Shadow Dancer Prestige build.

Edit: Nevermind, wont stack. :(

think on a Magus with flare etc...
and maybe flanking or something like that
