So I'm preparing for the new Pathfinder Society season, when Nagaji become a legal race to play. As soon as I saw the race in the Advanced Race Guide, it seemed to me that - with the racial bonuses to Strength and Charisma, as well as the natural armor - this race seemed very fitting to build into a specific prestige class: the Dragon Disciple. Brace yourselves, the criticism of a prestige class is coming...
Okay, now that the obligatory Game of Thrones reference is out of the way, this is why I'm posting this: with the Hypnotic Gaze racial ability (swapping out a minor Skill Focus with Perception and limited Handle Animal for a pretty nifty spell-like ability), technically all this Nagaji character needs is five ranks in Knowledge (Arcana) to qualify for the prestige class. However, my optimization skills aren't as up to par as I'd like, so I'd like a little advice about a few things.
So pretty much, what I'm trying to figure out is the best class (and ability scores as well) for this character. I really want to have him specialize in unarmed / natural attacks, even before he starts into Dragon Disciple. Because of this, I've been toying with either an unarmed Fighter archetype (like Brawler) or some form of Monk. I'm just not sure which would be better and can't decide. I've also toyed with the idea of just going straight Sorcerer (Dragon bloodline) to just boost the bloodline powers as much as I can, but I'm uncertain how effective that would be.
So I'm looking for input. I've read Osterisk's guide to Disciples, but I'd like to hear what the interwebs has to say... of course, other than "I can haz cheezburger?"
Natural Attack Builds Include:
Natural Attack Ranger
Animal Totem Barbarian
and Feral Mutagen Alchemist
Rangers have 3 Natural Attacks at all times
Barbarians Generally Hit Harder
Alchemist are casters of sorts and are more dynamic than the former 2
All of them can level dip into monk to be able to make their iterative attacks with their feet
Iroran Paladin 2/ Sorcerer 3/ DD X seems like it'd work.
Edit: actually, since 2nd level spells are very helpful for staying alive I might do IP 2/ S 4/ DD X to get those spells a level earlier.
