Stacking DR

I have a Tiefling Sorcerer with the Draconic bloodline, Red Dragon. The Tiefling can shrug off 5 points of fire damage. That and cold and electric. The Aasimar swaps fire for acid resist.

My question is now that my Sorcerer made it to 3rd level and climbing, does the 5 fire resist from the Draconic bloodline picking Red Dragon stack with the 5 resist for being Tiefling? Should I now be at 10 resist?

I don't see it written any place that is doesn't stack. I don't see it written that is does either. It could be I'm looking in the wrong book.

I also use Hero Lab. Maybe they don't add that in for my lazy butt. Dunno.

Do energy resistances stack?
No.

This should probably be moved to the rules forum.

In answer to you question, as a general rule in Pathfinder things don't stack unless specifically stated otherwise, so unless someone can come up with a rule that says resistances, I'm afraid you're stuck with resist 5, increasing to resist 10 at level 9.

DR does not stack.

Neither does Energy Resistance.

I would not rely on HeroLab as a rules source.

Hero Lab will display these under the "Special" tab, as "Energy Resistance (fire)" and the like, and will NOT have them stack, as is correct.

This is exactly the reason my Aasimar Celestial Sorcerer traded out her racial energy resistances for SR vs evil -- because I knew I'd be getting virtually the same resistances at third level.

Also this is a question about energy resistance and not DR (which also *generally* does not stack).

Just for those that come in and get confused.
