Wind Blast and Attacks of Opportunity Question

Would Wind Blast provoke an Attack of Opportunity as per Ranged Attack rules or Bull Rush Rules?

Wind Blast (Su): As a standard action, you can unleash a blast of air in a 30-foot line. Make a combat maneuver check against each creature in the line, using your caster level as your base attack bonus and your Wisdom modifier in place of your Strength modifier. Treat the results as a bull rush attempt. You can use this ability a number of times per day equal to 3 + your Wisdom modifier.

As per Bull Rush, you need Improved Bull Rush to ignore Attacks of Opportunity.
Also, I'm not sure, but would a 30 foot line be considered a ranged attack?

Wow, I was kind of hoping someone had an answer for this, silly me.

I don't think so. While it may look like a ranged attack is being made against every target in the line, what it actually is is a line AoE effect generated by a Supernatural ability. You're not "targeting" the enemies; they are subject to the effect area and this is resolved by making a CM check against them. This is distinctly different from, say, aiming a Ray since it actually takes a moment to point and aim. Wind Blast is more along the lines of just standing there and, by force of will, a gust of air rises around you and rushes off; no careful aiming required as with a Ray attack or a Bow. Furthermore, it's the air that's bullrushing them so, even if an AoO were provoked, it's moot because they'd have to make it against the air. Therefore, no AoO is provoked when using this ability.

Nope on both points.

You're not even bull rushing them; there is an unspecified combat maneuver check, the result of which is trotted over to the bull rush result chart to decide what happened. This also means any bull rush feats would not be applicable here.

Supernatural abilities do not, as a general rule, provoke AOOs unless the ability specifically says it does.

It is not a ranged attack. it is an AOE which is producing a CMB check, much like using a Ring of Telekinesis, or the Telekiniesis spell.

Applicable spells would be those that had you make a ranged touch attack roll to hit like scorching ray.

Thank you guys for answering.
