The guide says that an agile weapon/finesse fighter will be behind in terms of items against a strength based fighter. However what they lose with 'swings' they gain in the 'roundabouts', they can focus entirely on items to increase dex for a dual function, defence and offense, where as the strength based fighter needs to increase two stats (strength and dex) if they wish to increase both their offence and defence. So there is a an increased expense for the weapon, but a saving in terms of stat increase item(s).
Does this work out cheaper overall? Not sure but the ability to focus and gain different types of bonus (enhancement, morale, etc) could lead to some interesting thought experiments.

Now my Tengu Qinggong-Flowing Monk/ Plant Druid can really come to life during his first 8 levels instead of waiting an eternity to get an Agile AoMF and ever go beyond 6 maximum damage. I think this was the missing piece.
THANK YOU! I had overlooked this feat so many times. It stinks that I can really only get it at level 3 at the earliest... but that beats waiting 3+ more levels.

What feat would that be?
