Here is a crazy adventure idea for Obsidian Apocalypse that I have been kicking around: Two girls with their armies battle it out for the control of a city. One is named Alice fell down a rabbit hole to get here; The other is named Dorothy who came via a tornado. And the PCs are in the middle trying to protect the city. Welcome to the Emerald Looking Glass Wars. What do you think?

My money is on Alice... Dorothy needed poor Tin Woodsman to do all for her.
EDIT: Alice at least was quite talented in fa(i/l)ling forward plot advancement technique.
EDIT 2: Incidentally, just before reading this topic I posted my thoughts about Wizard of Oz (book) as my facebook status. Synchronicity? Precognition? Convergence of power?

I've always loved seeing takes on Alice. Have you read Lullaby, Alice became General for the Kingdom of Hearts because she was the only sane person in the entire kingdom.
No I have not, but that sound like a another good source to steal from.
And people are asking if the PAIZO staff is on drugs!?!?!
Sadly, this is not a drug induced creation. You can really blame Todd McFarlane Toys line Twisted Land of Oz for the original inspiration for Dorothy and crew.

This reminds me of an old Gygax called Dungeonland. It's essentially "What if you went and your party went down the rabbit hole? Even better, what if Wonderland was a total meat grinder?" It was very cool, if not a bit unbalanced. Seeing that mixed with Wizard of Oz would be pretty cool. Color me interested.

Thanks for the interest. I really want to find a way to make really amazing ideas into AWESOME products. I am always afraid that I have disappointed people when I release a product. So when I get a great idea and want to make sure first, will everyone like it and secondly, is it cool? If I can cover those bases then I am OK with the work that gets done.

See, I'd expand on the idea to encompase a greater number of modern day fairy tales, the idea that the alternative universes offered by options such as Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, The Stories of Jules Verne, classic Disney and so on.
The trouble is, the Land of Imagination can only support so many, and the more new ideas that influx into the area, the worse the pressure gets on the older "classics". This sets the stage for a titanic struggle between the various stories, where they must either subsume or annhiliate their opposition to ensure their own survival.
Into the midst of this, the PC's are flung and face the challenge of finding a solution to the dilemmia. Do they pick a side and battle all others? Do they try to find compromise so that minor characters are cast out to allow the central players all continue? Do they instead try to seize the land for their own ends?
