out of curiosity how do you fine peoples handles religions in the sheet? the issue im running into is several priests of abadar have moved into my players city. Should the bank that they just built in the city count as a temple to abadar once these priests move in? or should to avoid breaking things it only count as a bank and then have the temple to abadar be its own separate thing? thoughts?
Hey all, So I am running my group through a kingmaker inspired adventure and they found a scroll fragment that details the summoning of a Void Lord (its an oriental themed game) now I would like the Void Lord to be summoned in a dungeon of some kind but im having difficulty thinking up a good one. I thought about using Rappan Athuk since it would make a fair amount of sense or possibly an upscaled version of temple of elemental evil. Any suggestions for a good dungeon to use? (any editions welcome)
Mr Moreland the problem people have is that these mounts take 2 feats to use and even then their abilities are still not the same as a regular flying mount who has not been bonded and is supposed to be better than their standard brethren. when compared to a wizard who only has to cast a single spell as ssalarn pointed out at 9th level to fly for 9+ hours, has scrolls to let him do it for a further time duration it seems to some in the community (my self as well) that this is another example of punishing martials for wanting to do cool things while casters can do them with a single spell.
see one of my gripes is that the crossbow, unlike the bow cannot be upgraded via the compound ability. However crossbows can be made for a whole variety of draw weights so why could you not have a mighty crossbow? That is my main purpose in making this thread I would like crossbows to be a competitive alternative to the bow instead of the mechanically inferior version they are right now. House ruling is fine and dandy and i will add the crossbow variant rules to my ever growing stack of house rules for pathfinder, but the purpose of this thread is for those who like crossbows to talk about how to make them better hopefully with 3pp support
Hey chemlak do you have any suggestions for how to manipulate the sheet to allow for an oligarchy or any of the various forms of government? The way the sheet is set up now you have to have at least one declared ruler or else the unrest penalty is pretty high. Should i just make a gestalt pseudo character representing all of the players to fill the ruler role? or should i just leave it blank?
Greetings you fine third party publishers! I was wondering if any of you had printed better stats for the crossbow or any crossbow variants in any of your materials? a couple of my players prefer crossbows to bows however in core pathfinder crossbows are mechanically inferior to bows. Also do any of your fine wares happen to give love to some of the lesser used weapons such as flails, warhammers, spears and others?
no where in the spell does it mention needing to make checks to remain in the air. And paralysis does not counter the spell, only end of duration, antimagic or dispel magic can end or suppress the effect. Only winged creatures are called out as needing to make fly checks to hover. So you would stay there in the air not moving but not falling either.
I wish JBE all the best in their future endeavors! I have stated this before in some other threads but i probably own more third party material than i do paizo material. You guys fix the stuff that paizo wont and provide great support for ideas that do not get fully fleshed out. I use a lot of 3pp material in my home brew specifically because it is built on the OGL frame and thus is very flexible. I would be fascinated to see what you guys could come up with in the golarion setting if paizo threw you a continent to run around in.
while it may be the case that the creatures of rokugan do not fit in closely with their mythological origins (or lack their of) this could be a fun product and it does have utility for me now since i am running an asian themed game. I will gladly pay for the Kaidan bestiary (and plan to!) when it comes out. This is kind of a in the mean while project.
So I am currently making this a pet project i guess to up convert creatures of rokugan to pathfinder. I have been looking for conversions but i guess the L5R community isnt too keen to upgrade. it will be slow going but i can make a new thread once i have enough material put out to show you guys, if you are all interested.
Hey all I was just wondering if any of you fine 3pp had come out with supplements such as asian bestiaries or just stuff on Oni. Looking through the core bestiaries all of the oni are either too powerful or too weak with maybe 1 or 2 mid range oni options. Any suggestions or products that could help flesh this area out?
