If you had a favorite item that didn't make it into the above list... take it up with your fellow voters! :)
All of the above items had at least a +200 positive vote count. In other words, each was upvoted at least 200 more times than they were downvoted (for example, the lowest-ranked item on this list had 625 votes for and 404 votes against). Overall, this is a very strong showing in the top items (especially considering that last year, anything below #89 was no better than a tie between upvotes and downvotes).
If you didn't make it into the Top 32, but your item is on this list, my most sincere congratulations to you. Why? Because hundreds of people thought your item was pretty cool and worth considering for the Top 32. That's pretty awesome.
If your item is in this list and you didn't make it into the Top 32, your goal for next year is to figure out what made the judges select the other items instead of yours. Talk to the voters. Talk to the judges. Ask for opinions and critiques. Learn. Do better. Remember, the voters often look just at items, but the judges are also looking for who has the potential to be a good designer overall. Submit another, better item next year, one that really shows your talent, your moxie, your mojo. We've had some competitors take two or three tries to make it in. You can do it!
And if your item isn't on the above list, don't despair--yours might have been #101. Keep trying!
(And thanks again to Judy, Morrus, and Patrick for judging Round 1!)
(And there is some helpful advice in a similar thread from RPG Superstar 2013.)
Hey look, there's my item.
KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
Top 100! That's a first! And here I spent the entire voting period kicking myself for making an item that could be considered a weapon. :S Glad to know some part of it worked!
This list makes me very happy. Not only because my item is on it!
More important to me is that many of my favorite items are on it as well. I felt kind of off the wavelength from the top 32, but it's nice to see I wasn't so far off from the voters. I really liked a lot of these 100 items!

Ah. There are the rest of my favorites which did not make it into the Top 32. I maintain that a few of these items god robbed and should have won (looking at you, Ashen Ka Shabti) but I'll go through that if I see them in the Critique thread.

Ouch, didn't even make it in here this time around.
Well done y'all!
Didn't make it on this either but good job all around!
Looks like all but 2 of my favorites were on the list. Mine just happened to be one of those two that didn't make it.
Good work everyone that made the voter's cut!
Huh, surprised Tactician's Go-Ke didn't make it. That one was on a lot of "top #" lists.
Samuel Stone wrote: Huh, surprised Tactician's Go-Ke didn't make it. That one was on a lot of "top #" lists. This speaks something of the dangers of reading too much into a very small sample size. My item is on this list, but it didn't make a single of the favorites lists I saw.
Yay, made the top 100 list!

Not on the list... disheartening. At least I actually got to see my item and vote on it this year.

My Baldric of Revealing Mists! YES! :D

Right there with ya, buddy. :(
Exciting to see my (Gauntlet of Earth Shattering and Elevating) made it all the way there. Heh, I thought the stupid name would have kept it down. Hope I'll get it reviewed and see my missteps. I want to get into that top 32 some time in the future.

Epic Meepo, Superstar 2009 Top 16, Superstar 2012 Top 32, Superstar 2013 Top 89, Superstar 2014 Top 100
Other contestants need to stop improving every year. I keep sliding lower in the standings. :P
Edit: I was really worried I wouldn't make it into the Top 100, given the fact that Anthony Adam posted a butterfly-themed sample item on the forums (even going so far as to call out "chrysalis" as a cool word). I also know from the Incessant Ramble thread that at least one Marathon Voter was consistently down-voting all potion-related items.
Sorry I posted in the wrong one >.< Thats what I get for having 15 tabs open at a time lol
Well I made the Mask of the Wayang. I am a little bummed still I did not make it (had what I think is a great monster made in prep for round 2) I am still thrilled that I made the top 100 in community votes. Thank you all.
I'm happy and surprised by my top 100 showing
Well, my Slaying Shroud was one of many misty, swirly cloaks that couldn't break free.
Good to see my Shadow Archer's gage was at least popular with the voters.
Gak. Didn't make it this year. Aside from a big change that I felt (after the fact) I should have made, I still felt really good about my item. Ah, well. Next year it is. :)
I don't see the... can't remember what they were called... gloves that summoned forth dead hands from the earth to grapple opponents. I thought those were awesome, and really evocative, and was surprised they didn't make the top 32, much less the top 100!
Congratulations to these other 68 Top items!
Thanks Sean :)

Indeed, from the few I did hear from I was doing well. I am glad I dinnae get too involved in that trading.
I'm afraid, my darling Breach Master's Epaulets, that you're still due for a few revisions.
Well, I didn't even make the top 100. Maybe I should be disappointed, but in a way, it means I can blame the voting public and stand firm in my belief that the judges would have loved it had it been in their reviewing pool. Yeah, that's it. It's all you voters' fault. Yeah. I'm still awesome. Yeah...
Some cool stuff in that list and a great deal I never saw. Congrats to all of you who were in the top 100 even if you didn't make the top 32. Oh well guess I'll have to wander over to the critique thread and hope I get some decent feedback this year. Especially since there is an item on that list that was mechanically similar to my (also not so superstar) entry last year, which I got no quality feedback on. I better strike while the tread is young.
Wow, every year I keep getting better. My ashen ka shabti fell flat with my players, but thanks to this community I know that I am getting closer. Thanks for the votes and I look forward to posting in some feedback threads.
And CONGRATS to the Top 32.
My fav item made top 100. You deserved top billing treads of momentum (Not my item).

What, no BEARD KNOT THINGY OF EPIC FIREY DWARFISHNESS?
I am almost as upset as when Beardforge didn't make it.
Cool! My mantle of butterflies made the list!
Yay! There's mine! ^^

Beard Knot of the Descending Heavens was my singular favorite item. It topped my list with underscore, all caps, bold type with exclamation points and glitter.

I think that the problem a lot of people, myself included, had with the beard-knot was that it burned the dwarf's beard in the process. Then the dwarf is beardless. No true dwarf would ever use it.

Didn't make the Top 100. Blood item = bad idea! (barbazu gorget)

I joked that I was going to make an NPC with that, the shears of the hairless hag and headband of the hirsute!
I am honestly amazed to see my item on the top 100 list, especially considering how many items (lots) I saw that I immediately thought were better.
Thomas LeBlanc wrote: Didn't make the Top 100. Blood item = bad idea! (barbazu gorget) For what it's worth, the barbazu gorget was the first item to claim a spot in my Top 32. My witchbane glove failed to make the Top 100 as well.
Huzzah made it to the top 100. Pretty pleased about that. I'm glad people liked my item.
I did not make the top 100 with the green thumb, for what it's worth.

My exact thoughts every time I read the item. A true dwarf would rather tattoo "I'm a bearded Gnome" on his forehead than actually cut off his beard.
Certainly uplifting seeing my item there.
I am on the right path after all. ^^
However, with each year more and more people enter the contest., so even if I may get better it also gets more difficult every time.
Wow, my Linebreaker's Sabatons made 100. This makes me very happy even if I didn't make the 32. Time to go to the critique thread and see what the opinions were :)
