Rules Questions

Sorry bad English. Big Bad man attack me and teleport on back to. How can we stand on?

Thank you for your correct.

You are unable to do this without some specific rules allowing it. When a creature ends its movement in an "illegal" square (such as in a large creatures space) they get "bumped" out of it when their movement/turn ends.

You cannot teleport into a location unable to support you.

A creature or object brought into being or transported to your location by a conjuration spell cannot appear inside another creature or object, nor can it appear floating in an empty space. It must arrive in an open location on a surface capable of supporting it.

I'm honestly not sure what's being stated. Guy attacked ,then teleported out? or attacked then teleported onto the backs of the character...

Either way, people can support other people, so I wouldn't go hauling out the "can't apear inside or in empty space" rule as it doesn't really apply in either case.

I feel it does. People are not a traditional surface capable of supporting the person teleporting. Especially if the target is in motion and unwilling. Now, the GM may rule otherwise of course (rule of cool and all that) but "a person's head" is not really a surface such as ground is.

so here's a quick question for you then.

Could you teleport up to a slim branch that can support your body weight for a few seconds before it'd break?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Either it is or is not capable of supporting you. That would be a judgement call on the GM's part, one that I can see going either way depending on the GM.

Personally, I would say no because it does not actually support you it breaks when you put your weight on it.
