I have been wanting to play a gunslinger recently for PFS but have been held back by the lack of out of combat abilities of them. I would rather not be the guy that goes in "guns-a blazin'" and would rather have at least a small amount of tact.
An inquisitor dip would round out the build with added utility and flavor.
Here's what I have so far:
Garuda-Blooded Aasimar
STR: 7 DEX: 20 CON: 11 INT: 14 WIS: 16 CHA: 7
OR
STR: 7 DEX: 18 CON: 10 INT: 15 WIS: 18 CHA: 7
Traits: Reactionary
???
1 Inquisitor(Conversion Inquisition) 1: Point Blank Shot
2 Gunslinger(Musket master) 1: Rapid reload ( musket), Gunsmithing
3 Inquisitor 2: Precise shot
4 Gunslinger(Musket master) 2:
5 Gunslinger(Musket master) 3: Deadly Aim
What I am needing help with is mainly deciding which stats to use and to mix and match the class levels most effectively. I know I want at least two levels of inquisitor for Cunning Initiative and Detect alignment and at least 3 levels of gunslinger for Fast reload and 5 levels for Dex to damage.
Has anyone played something along these lines/ seen one in play to know if it will be effective?

I've had a great deal of success with a musket-master/inquisitor in PFS, currently at 14th level (even split between classes) after playing through Eyes of the Ten and Academy of Secrets.
Garuda aasimar is a solid choice (I went elf, since I started before aasimars were open access), but I think you could stand to fiddle your stats a bit. Gunslingers are ridiculously accurate, so a 20 Dex is total overkill, particularly when you are sacrificing so much Str and Con for it. You very quickly hit on a 2 even with Rapid Shot and Deadly Aim, and an extra point of damage output from the higher Dex isn't worth such a low carrying capacity and hit points. I have found that PFS GMs tend to have a bit of angst about gunslingers, so they pay more attention to things like encumbrance than they would with other classes. And, when you throw out so much damage, monsters tend to pile on to you, so more hit points are very desirable.
I went with Str 11 Dex 18 Con 12 Int 10 Wis 16 Cha 7 after racial modifiers. What is your plan for all that intelligence?
Conversion inquisition is a great boon to inquisitors, since PFS has a lot of situations were a lack of social skills means not participating at all; I recommend an inquisitor level just for that. The spells and bane ability are just icing on the cake; Litany of Sloth has been a life-saver in many combats, allowing me to unload with impunity even while adjacent to an enemy, and the great variety of low-level wands inquisitors can use is very useful.
I ended up going with a pair of muskets, one with Merciful and one with Distance; in addition to having the options of dealing non-lethal and greater range, an extra gun means that a misfire doesn't cost you a whole round of attacks, just drop and draw your backup.
Trait-wise, now that Magical Knack is legal I would recommend that. The inquisitor get a fair number of decent duration buffs, so an extra 20 minutes or 2 hours is helpful, and it makes it easier to use some very useful scrolls (Greater Invisibility being a favorite of mine).
Anyway, to sum up, I have had a lot of fun with a gunslinquisitor, being a well-rounded character able to contribute in a wide variety of situations as well as deal very respectable combat damage.

The plan for all of the intelligence was for the skill points and knowledge checks. I have this ( probably not so practical) idea of knowing all the languages using the truespeaker alternate racial trait ( 2 languages per point of Linguistics) so I thought the extra skill point would facilitate that. But with 8 skill points per level of Inquisitor and 5 for each gunslinger level I should be able to manage.
You are probably right the 7 strength probably would be rather difficult to manage ( I've done it before but it was on a caster so it's really not the same) and the extra skill point and +1 to knowledge checks won't help as much as +1 fort/hp.
So I will probably use something like this:
STR: 10 DEX: 18 CON: 12 INT: 12 WIS: 18 CHA: 7

I play a Gunquisitor in PFS. I gotta say, it's a very disappointing build, although in theory it sounded awesome. PFS has something like 4 or 5 encounters per session, and this is simply too much for Judgments and Bane to be useful. I regret not going straight Gunslinger. If you go the Preacher route for Inquisitor, it is helpful because you can get re-rolls for when your pistol inevitably jams, but aside from that, the other benefits from Inquisitor is pretty meh. I say this specifically when talking about PFS.
Also, garuda-blooded aasimar isn't PFS-legal as far as I'm aware.

Aasimar are universally available, like Tieflings and Tengu.
Garuda-blooded are from Blood of Angels, which is on the Additional Resources list.Likewise, blooded Tieflings from Blood of Fiends are also available.
I was wondering about the real effectiveness. Since the Inquisitor buffs are limited in uses/day. Still one would think that adding spellcasting would increase versatility.
I had planned on going straight Musket Master myself. All my toons are single-classes from personal bias :)
