Indeed. It is equipped. I thought I had that in there. He is also mounted on Esmeralda. Just realized that I assumed I was mounted, but it makes no difference.
Round 2
Still, Bruno waits upon his foe to appear. He eagerly swings the sling, as if laying in wait.

Champion of mbauers |

Round 3--yep, I assumed you were mounted, or were the fattest dwarf ever. ;-)
The swordsman steps around the pillar and approaches, swinging an icy sword at Bruno.
Move to F10 and attack Bruno, hitting a 10.
Shield rounds remaining: (7/10), Mirror Image Rounds remaining: (28/30), Images remaining: (5/5), Mage Armor rounds remaining: (59/60), Sword +3 rounds remaining (5/5) (afterwards it's a +1 for 5 more rounds), Arcane Pool remaining: (3/4), Consumable wealth used: (200 gp /225 gp)

Warlords of Choon |

As soon as the sleek warrior appears, bruno lashes out with his sling.
Readied action, attack.
Attack: 15
Damage: 15
The sword is easily dodged and whistles through the air as Bruno drops his sling to the dirt. A moment later, his Heavy Pick is replying to the swipe. At the same time, Esmeralda introduces the fighter to her teeth from a slightly different angle.
attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17
damage: 1d6 + 11 ⇒ (4) + 11 = 15
Ride for attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Attack:17
Damage:15
Attack, Esmeralda:12
Damage:7

Champion of mbauers |

Round 4
Those both miss.
Shigeharu knocks aside the strikes and retaliates, driving his sword toward the dwarf's face.
Attack hits a 29 AC and is a crit threat. Confirm roll is a 21. If the crit confirms you take 21 lethal and 10 nonlethal. If it doesn't confirm, you take 8 lethal and 5 nonlethal. If you are hit at all by the 29 you are fatigued and entangled.
Shield rounds remaining: (6/10), Mirror Image Rounds remaining: (27/30), Images remaining: (5/5), Mage Armor rounds remaining: (58/60), Sword +3 rounds remaining (4/5) (afterwards it's a +1 for 5 more rounds), Frostbite charges remaining: (2/3), Arcane Pool remaining: (2/4), Consumable wealth used: (200 gp /225 gp)

Warlords of Choon |

Now at 8 Lethal and 5 Nonlethal
ride: Cover: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
ride: attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14
attack: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14
attack, E: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Bruno recovers from his swing quickly, but not quickly enough to avoid the counter without extreme measures. He drops in his saddle beside Esmerlada, but even then, the blow skips off his shoulder.
Crit does not confirm.
Bruno shivers from the touch of the blade, but does not let it deter him. He swings back into proper saddle position again, using the momentum to power a swift overhand chop. Esmeralda, meanwhile, continues her assault.
Attack:21
Damage:14
Esmeralda attack:8
Damage:5
Poor Esmeralda can't roll above a 10 to save her life. :(
Edit: Still does not confirm. Barely. That was too close.

Champion of mbauers |

Gah! Curse you, combat expertise! ;-) 21 misses, but it does disperse one of my images.
Round 5
The pick smashes through Shigeharu's face, only to disperse an illusory image. The swordsman counters, striking viciously again.
Another crit threat (nat 20), but nat 1 on the crit confirm. Damage is 8 lethal and 7 nonlethal and you are entangled for a round (still fatigued, too).
Crit Katana damage 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 plus Crit nonlethal 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9.
Shield rounds remaining: (5/10), Mirror Image Rounds remaining: (26/30), Images remaining: (4/5), Mage Armor rounds remaining: (57/60), Sword +3 rounds remaining (3/5) (afterwards it's a +1 for 5 more rounds), Frostbite charges remaining: (1/3), Arcane Pool remaining: (1/4), Consumable wealth used: (200 gp /225 gp)

Warlords of Choon |

16 Lethal and 12 non = 28 which JUST knocks me Unconscious. Dag-nabbit!
Bruno passes out in the saddle, but Esmeralda fights on!
stay in saddle: 1d100 ⇒ 70
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Attack:10
Damage: 6
Esmeralda has yet to roll over a 6 to attack in this fight.

Champion of mbauers |

Round 6
Shigeharu attacks relentlessly, swinging his sword at the unconscious dwarf before backing up and firing a blast of ice at him.
Another crit threat, confirm is a 19 which I think confirms this time because your dex is treated as 0. That puts it at 25 lethal and 12 nonlethal, then I 5ft move back and hit a ranged touch of 22 to hit you for 7 more lethal cold damage. Sorry about all the crits, and the cowardly way I had to fight. I knew that one hit from a lance charge or a crit from a pick would drop me, so I had to be a little cheap. Good game!
Shield rounds remaining: (4/10), Mirror Image Rounds remaining: (25/30), Images remaining: (4/5), Mage Armor rounds remaining: (56/60), Sword +3 rounds remaining (2/5) (afterwards it's a +1 for 5 more rounds), Arcane Pool remaining: (0/4), Consumable wealth used: (200 gp /225 gp)

Elinora |

Elinora walks into the arena with bow in hand, wearing her usual scowl on her face. This time, however, her face is also adorned with warpaint. She is clearly still angered by her last defeat.
What better of an opponent to take out my frustrations on than an elf?
Init: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
My init is a 23 so I'm up first
Elinora draws an arrow from her quiver and fires, her lip curled upwards in a half smile.
"Die surface-dweller!"
Swift Action: Imbue Shot with Faerie Fire
Std Action: Fire Drow-Poisoned Masterwork Arrow
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Dmg: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
The arrow hits 23 FF AC, and if that is a hit, it does 9 dmg and Gin is outlined in a strange glowing light. He also must make a DC 13 Fort Save
If he makes his save (or the arrow misses), she will curse and 5-ft move to B-12. If he fails his save, she will 5 ft move to B-11

Gin Kyomaru |

Surprise Round
Gin reacts with a smirk first noting what he could of been hit by as the arrow glides towards him glowing and eventually hits home a slight grunt. He has a floating rock about his he a bow, polearm..hip blade and heavy blade upon his back.
Gin pulls the arrow out and responds to the Drow with a chuckle. Stepping behind the Pillar at K 12
Spellcraft on the Arrow as you shoot: 14
Fortitude Save on Whatever effect : 19
Wow I rolled crappy... Again.. Ah well..

Gin Kyomaru |

Nothing in SLA's assume this except that it requires no somatic or verbal components does not mean its unseeable or recognizatable... Now if you were Invisible or it came from a magic Item I would see your point. Regardless.. your turn

Elinora |

I'll agree to disagree, as it is moot here. I would think that even if SLAs were spellcraftable, in this particular instance since i didn't "cast" it, but rather imbued it on an arrow, my point would still remain. ;)
"Let's have a little fun, shall we?"
Std Action behind pillar: Elinora uses Darkness SLA on her shirt.
Move Action: Elinora will take advantage of the concealment from her darkness (or cover from the pillar if her opponent is able to see in darkness somehow) to make a stealth check as she moves to E-17. She is moving her full value so she takes a -5 to the check.
Stealth: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Though the pillar prevents spellcraft identification, SLA or no SLA, Gin is clearly smart enough to realize what happens, as Elinora's jibe is accompanied by a cloud of darkness spreading to both sides of the pillar she is hiding behind.
The darkness then moves closer to him and to his right.
Elinora is in E-17 with concealment from the darkness
No idea where she is. Ruh Roh.

Gin Kyomaru |

Sorry Internet was acting Up
Gin notes that the Cloud of darkness seems to move towards him at a steady pace and once again chuckles
" By all means Fell-Elf ... Let us.. "
Dashing to give himself some cover from the darkness, though a plan risig in his brain.
Movement to B8 which obscures him as well giving cover.. your turn

Elinora |

No worries about the computer, bud. Mine craps out a lot too.
A few questions: Did Gin draw anything when moving? Also, did he do anything behind the pillar? He likely took a double move to get to B-8, but if you used say a runners shirt, you could still take an action. The reason I'm asking is because while a pillar disallows a check to know a specific spell, I believe I would still know if he was casting a spell, using a scroll, drinking a potion, etc. If I am wrong just disregard. Hehe

Gin Kyomaru |

Why would he double move..?... NVM I messed up let me fix the issue but Im at the other pillar.. I guess you would HEAR something but it would sound like words.. but you cannot see what I could be casting.. nor are there any real effects.. to my knowledge.. Change B 8 to K 8

Elinora |

Ok that makes more sense. Gotcha
"Do not presume to mix me in with your kind. We drow are beyond elves in every way. Now die!"
Elinora move actions to J-14
Swift Action: Activate Warpaint of the Terrible Visage
Fear rounds if applicable: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Regardless of Outcome, Std Action: Snowball
Ranged Touch Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 2, 6, 3) + 4 = 21
The drow steps out from behind her pillar (to J-14), and though the cloud of darkness follows her, Gin can barely make out her face (not using stealth anymore), contorted in rage. Strangely the warpaint on her face changes, accentuating her frightening countenance.
While he is still reeling from fear, she levels her open palm at him and fires a blast of icy cold straight for his heart.
First, you must make a will save DC 11. It comes from an item, so no spellcraft allowed. If you fail, you are frightened for 3 rounds. If you succeed, you are shaken for 1 round.
Then she fires a spell at you. It is a ranged touch attack and hits 19 touch AC. I did the "line" test and it looks to me like you would get the +2 partial cover. If it ends up mattering, we can ask the arbiter whether you get the full +4 for cover.
If the spell hits, you take 21 cold damage and must make a Fort save DC 15. Note that whether you are frightened or shaken, you get a -2 to your save. If you fail the fort save you are staggered for 1 round
The spell is snowball

Gin Kyomaru |

Hrm.. arent you lucky
The Spell slams into gin and visual shine erupts from him.. somehow not dropped from the powerful strike.
Will Save: 15
Fort Save: 21
Attack: 27 for 7 Magic Slashing Damage
He looks in Elinora's direction Un-phased by her visage and with a glowing flourish Swings his blade in a wide arch..snapping a hidden cord.. as it flies unerringly towards her heart Slicing into her before returning to his hand.
He then shifts behind the pillar out of sight
Moved behind pillar at J8

Gin Kyomaru |

Truthfully I'm not sure as much like the Spell Heroic Defiance it triggers off an effect as soon as that effect happens.. but unlike the spell it doesnt stop death.. I would say it all occurs at once as very few times can I imagine an item OR spell that is meant to keep you in the fight.. knocked out on the ground and THEN healed. Basically if you EVER go below 0 it heals you..if that is not enough.. you are unconscious, If it is too much you die. Either way, wouldn't have changed much

Elinora |

Elinora's confidence falters momentarily, and she gasps as the flying blade strikes her abdomen, leaving a sizable gash.
"You are considerably more resilent than your bretheren. But it is no matter. Your inferiority will be demonstrated soon enough."
Elinora presses the attack, coming around the pillars (to G-9), still shrouded in darkness. Seeing her foe on the ground, she smirks and unleashes another frozen blast.
Move Action to G-9
Std Action to Snowball
Ranged Touch Attack Roll: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Dmg: 4d6 + 4 ⇒ (1, 1, 5, 4) + 4 = 15
Ranged Touch Attack is a 20, which is essentially a 16 since you are prone. If that hits, you take 15 cold dmg and must make another Fort Save DC 15. Spellcraft DC is still a 16 if you want to use it.
If that misses, or hits but doesn't finish you off, I have one more thing to do for my turn. I will wait to see the results of my spell first though.

Gin Kyomaru |

Yes there is an issue that space and any other movement will give me cover unless you come right up on me.. because of the line test.. its not a straight shot and im on the ground AND pressed up aganst it... Also Soft cover for Ranged attacks are +4 which would make it miss . not +2.. Also WTF I have been getting screwed on rolls every g++@*~ned time this isnt even fun sometimes. Im 90% sure you are PROBABLY rolling 15> while I have had to Work to even get hitable scores and even then RNG screws me.

Elinora |

soft cover is for allies in the way. The line test is if you can hit more than 50% but not all they get + 2 instead of +4. So for the first shot if you had +2 I hit a 17 touch. For the second shot you have no cover from where I am at so I essentially hit a 16 touch. I would be shocked if either of those miss, given the stat restrictions for the builds.

Gin Kyomaru |

I'll let the Arbiter Weigh in on this. Cover is cover regardless of it being an ally or not which is why Improved Precise shot is so good. if So.. you win It wasnt even a match; I could have been anything at this point and lost if not I only have another turn anyway and Undoubtably considering my luck You would I dunno roll a crit or something. I wish you good luck and all then and would take my second loss. The only quip I would have is how you imbue an Item.. with An SLA.

Elinora |

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. You were referring to "soft cover". Soft cover is given by having an ally in between you and the attack, and thus, doesn't apply in this situation.
"Regular" cover is when there is a barrier obstructing the shot. The line test is that the attacker chooses 1 corner of 1 square that he/she occupies, and draws a straight line to each corner of 1 square that the enemy occupies. If a line goes through the barrier such that half or less of the enemy is visible, the enemy gets full cover. If a line goes through the barrier such that more than half of the enemy is visible, the enemy gets partial cover, which is only a +2 bonus. This is what I was refering to with my prior attack.
In the case of my last shot, i could actually choose either my NW or SW corner and none of the lines would go thru the pillar, thus you have no cover.
If you look at this example from the pfsrd, check out the one where it is talking about the ogre. since the ogre uses a reach weapon, it treats its melee attacks like ranged attacks for cover purposes. note that the rogue does not have cover from the ogre, even though the rogue is next to the wall. that is because the ogre can choose the NW corner of the NW square he occupies and the lines from that corner to each of the rogues 4 corners go straight there without going thru the wall. They merely go "along" the wall. This is the same situation as what my shot is doing.
I'm fine waiting for the arbiter. If I'm right and the match is over we would need him to call it anyhow.

Gladiator_Eben |

Rolg steps back in once more, brooding eyes immediately locking on his opponent. He appears to have the same equipment as he did before. He drops his backup hammers in the sand as he settles into a ready stance.
Initiative 17
Surprise Round
The dwarf wastes no time, exploding to twice his size as he rushes across the sands, ending with a vicious swing from his massive hammer.
Raging charge to G/H 10/11
1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27
3d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) + 10 = 22
Double in size. charge to G/H 10/11. Raging Hammer strike (against your flat-footed AC)
Attack: 27; Damage 22
Your turn for the surprise round

Champion of mbauers |

Do you have something that lets you charge as a standard action? And if so, and it's equipment, would you tell me what it is after the fight? I definitely need one of those with Arian ;-) I have a quick runner's shirt, but I haven't seen anything like that yet. Yeesh.
Round 0 (I'll delay to get a full action in...) Round 1
The enormous hammer catches Shigeharu in the chest. He drops his sword, then casts a spell as he wheezes, disappearing from sight.

Gladiator_Eben |

Sure. It's not a secret.
Rolg was only able to take a standard action, so he took advantage of this and his mega-reach.
--- Round 1 ---
Rolg's eyes gain a look of fatigue as he drops back down to his normal size, draws, then uses a scroll as he seeks out his target.
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Shrink to H.10. Draw and use a scroll. If cover is a factor, you can't ID using spell craft. I rolled a Perception check in case you used Stealth, and – if you take invisibility out of the equation – can Rolg see Shigeharu with a Perception result of 12? Let me know, and I'll decide if my turn is over.
EDIT: Missd a roll... it's included now.

Champion of mbauers |

Re: the partial charge--for some reason I thought that pathfinder didn't have partial charges anymore. Still, I don't know if you planned it out that way, but that was a great move: Shift to large size which basically gives you a free 5 ft move down. Then a 30 ft charge since your a barbarian. Then a 15 ft reach. With Arian I have 40 ft move but only 5 ft reach, so at the moment I'm 5 ft short. I might have to give him a reach weapon just to alpha strike. Hmm...

Champion of mbauers |

Well, I think it's going to be GG since I'm pretty sure I know what your scroll is, but Shigeharu failed so...
I try to cast a spell from a scroll, provoking an attack of opportunity "IF" you can see me. ;-) If you roll a 1 on your attack roll, 3 images appear, I realize the hard way what your scroll was, and then I move back to K10 and possibly do something else, but I'll wait to see if you roll a 1 first, hehe. If you roll a 2, GG.
