In Greek mythology, warriors (the spartoí) grew from the ground when dragon teeth were planted and sown. I wanted to do something with that idea (though I'm far from the first to do so) for Pathfinder and, along the way, find a use for certain miniatures that don't yet have great analogues in Pathfinder.
The result is the dvontoi, a set of new NPC "dragon-men, sorta" races. I decided to build these as races instead of base monsters, for no really great reason.
Let me know if you get some use out of them.

Monk stands on an open field. Dragon does a charging bite attack, monk dodges, and dragon rolls a 1 on its attack roll. If one of its teeth lodges in the ground...does it become a warrior?
The first of the story I remember is that it took a week for the warriors to grow.
(this is me, incapable of not answering even joke questions)

In the redue of the animated series Record of Lodoss Wars there is an evil magic user that uses dragons teeth to created Dragon Tooth warriors which are basically an enhanced undead.
Wait...there was a re-do of Record of Lodoss Wars? DANGITT!!!! I have the originals...ON V H S!!! (God I'm old...)
Ok, carry on.

I have both, the redue itself is kinda old now actually. I believe it came out in '00. It's and odd redue also as it starts about half-way through the story and follows another set of adventurers, though they eventually meet up with Parn and the gang.

i really like these. i was actually in the process of trying to figure out how to make a drconic army without giving every one the half dragon template. Sir Wordman i am going to use your stuffs as a benchmark and make some minor tweaks to fit it to my world. thank you sir for sparing me the headache

Not the way I wrote it, since the planting needs to be accompanied by a complex (and fairly long) ritual. You may note that the exact specifics of the rituals to do this are deliberately kept a bit hazy. Can PCs learn and complete them? You'll have to decide that for your own campaign.

First thing i did was gave them all natural weapons. The all have claws, while some of the others like the Blue one has a bite in addition to his gore.
Second, the all have wings. Some are more useful to others like the Umbral where they have good manuverability and a fly speed of 60.
Third, i gave them all immunity to their applicable energy type.
Then i made them a CR 3 baseline crature with a d10 HD before any other class levels are added in.
Fifth i changed the ritual (still lengthy) so it wasn't complete plagerism, and so it fit my story fluff a bit better.
Lastly i know i can get away with this in my game cause my players are awesome. They wont throw a fit when they look at the race guide and go "you can't build a monster like that the rules say that it has to be like this." While i do have a rules lawyer in my party he knows that from time to time i pull the "GM Cheese card" and say it just works. When they ask what book i always tell them it's in the core. Cause it says that this book contains rules but can be considered guidelines to make things fit in your world.
Anyway with that rant over with the execution worked marvelously.
Ihave hinted at their exsistence. There has been a regular NPC that shows up from time to time along their travel (Secretly the BBEG in disguise) and aids them or travels with them (mostly to keep tabs on them) for the company.
The BBEG is a red dragon disciple who learned the trade from Big Red. Hey betrayed Big Red and is on a quest to further his own ends and power to end Big Red's life. So the Big Red sent some red dvontoi to hunt down the BBEG and defeat him.
The party came along and saw their beloved NPC companion(the BBEG) along side the road who is barely alive with several red dvontoi dead from the deadly battle ensued between them. So the paladin of the group healed the BBEG and brought him back to conciousness and he told the party of the dvontoi exsistence.
