Cracked Orange Prism Ioun Stone: Casting 0th level spells from other spell lists?

I was wondering if the Cracked Orange Prism Ioun Stone lets one cast a cantrip/orison from a spell list that isn't his own?

Wearer adds one cantrip or orison (determined when the stone is created) to his list of spells known or spells prepared.

Price: 1,000 gp.

If the Ioun Stone had Prestidigitation, would that let a Cleric cast it, even though it's not on his spell list?

The wordings seems to imply that, even a non-caster would get access, it seems. This is also close enough to the usual pricing for such an item (0-level spell, unlimited uses) that this may be the intended effect.

p.s.: interesting name ;)

Ditto for your name. Does this mean you're the future of Pathfinder? ;-)

No, it doesn't allow non-casters to cast. A non-caster doesn't have a list of spells known or spells prepared to add to.

This does not give you the ability to cast spells. So I think the only requirement of the wearer is that they have a spell list (known or prepared). If you have a spell list then you add whatever spell is in the stone to that list and you may cast it as long as you wear the stone.
