Round 1: Magus

Does it grant spells from another class? I don't undertand.

It is for multiclass magi. So you can go Magus6/Cleric3/MysticTheurge10, for instance, and use 7th-level Cleric spells with your Magus specials.

Uh, ok, that makes sense. Thanks!

Yeah, this ability does nothing for your Magus is you do not take levels in another class that can cast spells.

For a more specific example, if you take a Cleric level and cast Cause Light Wounds, this ability lets you use Spellstrike or Spell Combat when doing so.

This magus arcana may be better suited as a feat. I mean, how many class abilities are only useful if you multiclass?

Until the Magus takes a single level in Cleric and begins casting Divine Favor and Divine Power via Spell Combat... then it becomes pretty nice.
