Was just reading Random Setting Generation Forum Thread and has the oddest of "holiday special" ideas...
How about, for some post-Superstar fun, we start a thread after the main competition is done to collaborating in the design of a mad cap and fun mini game - where we could practice our design chops in a more free format and out there way?
It would be (very loosely) based on being a round 1 submission to a superstar competition. Some initial thoughts brain dumped to give you the basic gist...
Would it be Pen n Paper, an alternate Pathfinder reality, a board game or a mass combat battle system using post it notes as the pc counters?
One Race allowed - A Round 1 Wondrous Item Submission
What stats would we allow? How could it protect itself to achieve the nirvana of Keep Pile Heaven? etc.
5 Main Gods (aka the judges)
The big question - who, out of 5 years, makes the cut as a god? Who would we stat as the most powerful? What do they hold dominion over? What is the rumored Golden Ticket and what omnipotent powers does it hold? etc. As many demi gods as we need (aka guest judges [or main judges not god like enough to be gods])?
What is the CEO? Why do the gods quake in fear at its random appearances? Does it really lay down the laws onto the great tablets of fate? (The CEO could be a random "all things change" mid combat event that mixes things up for example).
Combat (the game part)
Resolves on the struggle of the idea (the pc) getting to the keep pile (heaven) by defeating all 5 gods. Maybe some "my dice bag content vs your dice bag content bit of fun".
I was thinking maybe something April Fools like. Yeah, probably way out there and wacky, but what do people think - would you like to try something like this?
