Julia strains her concentration as she peeks over the car she is hiding behind and wills her 'fire-man' to zoom toward Doom and unleash a small stream of fire at him before then flying over his head and cutting down another street. The fire will collapse and go out once she can't see it.
Pyrokinesis: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21

Vincenzo Tuveri, aka Twitch |
"Prevail? Who talks like that?"
Heart racing, Vincenzo reversed course and poured on the speed. He had to hit Doom faster and...and... Wh-? D-? Vincenzo's face went blank and the world flickered and shifted as he dropped back to a slower speed and he ran toward Doom.
Move-by attack again. He's angry, not creative. :)
Unreliable roll for full speed: 1d20 ⇒ 4
Crap.
Fort Defense, DC 16: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 Crap. Absence seizure. He's dazed for the round, possibly longer.
End of turn fort save to dump the condition: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Thought it made more sense for him to continue the action he intended on rather than something else since he's not mentally all there right now. Keeping speed (the safe ranks) up is free. Looks like dazed precludes move-by attacks and he's too far out to do anything but.

Whisp |

Yikes! didn't realise he had that kind of protection! Bad luck Alex. Did you hear that? He called us 'Superheroes' cool huh! Coming in for another run,... going to try something a little different. Whisp launches herself forward, taking three steps to vault over a police car and leaping upward and transitioning into her light form. Once again she streaks in towards Doom, angling around so as not to hit anyone else in her attack. As she approaches she concentrates her light-form, this time taking on a purplish hue as her photons (hopefully) pass through his shield and impact against him.
On the other side of the armoured figure she resolves back into her normal photon form and streaks up and around to land 20ft. from Psyforce, where she rematerialises into her normal body, stumbling forward into the lee of another car, her form seeming unfocused due to the diffusion of light from her body. "So apparently throwing cars at him isn't going to work. Can you do anything to, I don't know, like attack his mind or something?"
Similar to last time: Move action to move within range (30ft.), Standard action to area attack (going with affliction option), Move action with "Move-by-action" to Psyforce (behind a car). Have partial concealment.
So area effect = no roll from me, he has to make a DC 18 Dodge. If he passes then he makes a DC 14 Will save, if he fails then a DC 18 Will Save. 1 degree = dazed, 2 degrees = stunned.

Kid Wonder |

I'd like to know his Parry and his Fortitude.
I'd like to make an extra effort to grant me a move action.
Extra Effort: Move into striking distance
Standard: Perfect Strike: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29 vs whichever is lower between parry or fortitude. Is that how it works, or is it just a DC 19 vs Parry/Fortitude? I'm running on very little sleep so hopefully that's enough info to pick out what I'm doing.
With his fist clenched against his chest, Kid Wonder rushed Doom, leaped into the air, gracefully performing a spinning jump crescent kick toward the back of Doom's head.

Psyforce |

"Dammit that shield of his is too powerful. I'll try something else. I might be able to attack him mentally, but not with you around. It is not accurate at all."
Psyforce pulls out multiple lanterns from the surroundings which bend and twist around Doom's arms and legs.
grapple with move object which has improved hold: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Not sure what he has to roll to break free.

Doom sees the "burning man" fly by Storm? At last, the Four reveal themselves.
Twitch tries to kick it into high gear, only to send himself into a seizure.
Instinct, yes, you're dazed.
Whisp tries her other form, and Doom attempts a dodge. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12 Too slow! Will Save 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30 However, he seems completely unaffected by her attempt.
Kid Wonder takes advantage of his momentary distraction, landing a solid blow against a nerve cluster on the back of Boom's neck.
Grab: after a successful roll, your opponent must make a resistance check against your strength or the strength of the grab effect, using the better of his Strength or Dodge. 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18 Vs. DC 15 Doom bursts through the attempt to restrain him.

Kid Wonder |

Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
The shock ripples up through Kid Wonder's leg and then to the rest of his body, but it isn't enough to affect him.
Now this is where I get confused. I assume I roll a dodge check to avoid the ranged blast. Is that correct?
If so:
Dodge vs Force Blast: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
Rolling with his kick, Kid Wonder drops his body down into a crouch in time to dodge a second blast from Doom.
Wow, this guy ain't no joke!
Toughness DC 25: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Again, Doom lands a blast square in his chest, but this time, he seems to be severely hurt when he drops to the ground

Whisp |

"He's tougher than he looks! Everyone watch out I'm going to try to hurt him this time!" With the thought sent, Wisp leaps upwards and once again her form shimmers into a streak of blue light which angles up and around towards Doom, once again she concentrates and slams through the green-clad figure at the speed of light, resolving into her blue-light form and angles downwards to land, this time a little less awkwardly, in the cover of a car some distance away.
DC 15 Dodge. Pass = DC 17 Fort save, Fail = DC 20 Fort Save. - light energy attack

Improved Grab, which you don't seem to have, would leave a free arm during a normal grab maneuver. Improved Hold, which you do have, inflicts a -5 to Escape attempts, but does not effect the resistance to the grab action itself.
KW: Nope, the only times you roll your defense is for area affects or when you take the Defend action(instead of attacking or doing some other standard action.) When you do this, you roll and add your defense (Dodge/Parry); if the roll is less than 10, you add 10 more (resulting in 10-20 plus dodge/parry.) Otherwise, he just targets your Dodge+10 (Passive Defense) with his attack roll. So, unfortunately, with that Toughness save, you go down hard and are Incapacitated.
Dodge 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 Doom dodges the majority of Whisp's sting, Fort 1d20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 2 - 1 = 2 but even the slightest touch is enough to send him reeling. Doom is Staggered (Dazed and Hindered until recovery.)

Whisp |

As Whisp passes through Doom, she can somehow sense that her attack has been successful and she feels a momentary surge of pride, tempered immediately by the sight of Kid Wonder lying on the ground. "Hey guys, I think I got Doom, but Jackson looks hurt! Can anyone get to him and pull him out of there? Maybe you could lift him away Alex? In the mean time maybe I can keep his attention on me?" as she shifts back into her normal form, she turns and, from behind the cover of the car yells out...
"Hey ugly! Still think 'kids' are too easy? Well just wait, there's more where that came from!"

Catalyst |

Julia winces as Kid Wonder goes down for the count but notes that Doom seemed distracted by her fake 'Johnny Storm' and Isabelle's touch. She once again ignites her hand and spins the fire into a fake Human Torch and sends it to start spinning around Doom, trying to force a no-man's land between Dr Doom and the rest.

Just wanted to check on range and my concealment ability,...
I said I wanted to be 'some distance' down the street - I should have specified, but I was thinking 100 ft. (as last time). (OK, though since I didn't specify), I also have partial concealment (power - all visual) and total cover (from being behind a car).
just checking... :)
If none of that matters,...
Will: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
YAY!
As the red tentacles surround her, Iz feels herself being,.. held, by pure energy. Somehow she manages to wrest herself free and she frantically shifts into her light form, shooting upward away from the crimson tentacles she swoops towards Doom, concentrating her form once more into a streak of intense light which slams into the armoured figure. Once again she zips down the street, this time rematerialising 150ft. down the street, behind a mailbox. Panting with effort, she turns and shouts out...
You're going to have to do better than that 'Doom' - Your 'Red wiggly-things' are lame!!

Doom continues to be assaulted, taking a few hits from Whisp and Twitch.
Yes, you can use a hero point to do a power stunt, effectively creating an alternate effect for one of your powers.
Regeneration takes care of the penalties to damage saves first, yes.

![]() |

How would that work exactly? Just do a TK attack, say I used a power stunt to target a different defense? Not sure how many hero points I have :P
Yes, you start the game with one and get additional points as things related to your complications happen during the game. To be fair, I'd say everyone has two (original plus one for the RP so far)
Does Vincenzo think he did any damage?
Yes, he appears to have struck true and done something to Doom, but the man is too stubborn to fall down.
Can I use all out attack and power attack at the same time?
Yes, but remember your active defenses will be reduced until your next turn by the all-out attack

No sense messing with success... Especially when he was only halfway there. Starting to get dizzy...
Vinceo aimed another punch at Doom.
Attack roll: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7
All your ones are belong to me. :)
Also been forgetting to have him save to kick the seizure. Whoops.

Psyforce |

Alex concentrates on four lantern posts and rips them from the pavement. With her thoughts she twists them around forming them in four sharp spikes. With great effort she launches them at high speed at Doom. "Try this on for size Doom!" using hero point to target reflex.

Catalyst and Psyforce get their actions before Doom, everyone else's will happen after Doom if he is still standing. Catalyst, trying to blind Doom is a power stunt (taking a hero point) to use Pyrokinesis as an affliction, assuming you want to do that, I'll roll defense against that. Psyforce, I'm going to assume you mean Dodge when you say Refex.
1d20 + 6 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 6 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 = 3 vs Psyforce
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4 Fortitude vs Catalyst
Doom folds like a chump.

Professor Xavier's voice comes over the intercom. Well done, my X-Men. You show the beginnings of teamwork, and reacted to the unexpected with an acceptable level of restraint. I will have your individual analysis ready in two hours. Twitch, I am showing some unusual heart and brain activity on your scans. Please report to Sikorsky in Medical. The rest of you are free to settle in and further explore the campus.
I will be going to Gen Con, flying out tomorrow and returning Tuesday. I will be able to check in pretty much every day except Friday and Saturday (and maybe Monday when I will be visiting my parents.)

Iz stands up, now feeling slightly odd to be crouching behind a no-longer-existant car. Panting heavily she walks over to the others. "Well that was fun!" she says with a grin Some of that stuff you guys did was radical! But I think I'm going to need a shower, and I wouldn't mind getting back into my own clothes and having a drink, I'm puffed. After that I think I want to just chill. Maybe a bit of TV and a comfy couch. Is anything good on tonight?"

Trying to save out of the seizure again
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24
For a moment Vincenco stood still, staring blankly at the metal wall beyond where Doom stood, mouth agape and starting to drool. Then he shook himself and looked around, blinking.
"Hey, what gives? Weren't we just fighting that guy with the tin face?"

Instinct |

With the sights and smells of the city and Doom gone, Instinct is left confused. He runs around for a bit, trying to figure out where it all went, leaping and snarling all over the room. But with the danger over, his adrenaline levels go down and within a few minuteshis features go back normal, his intelligence returning. He stands up, looking rather sheepish, and says breathilyAfter that, I think I need to eat. And sleep. Turning always takes alot out of me
Well at least I didn't harm anyone. Or at least anyone real. It seemed to know who his teammates are, at the very least...

Psyforce |

Psyforce sits down on the ground holding her head. Droplets of sweat appear on her face. "Damn that was a tough fight. I never used my powers so often before. But at least we taught chromedome a lesson didn't we?" she says as she smiles and lifts up her head. "Lets order in some pizza's and watch a movie. I'm beat! "

Kid Wonder |

KW lays face down as the concrete of the city changes back into the cold assumed metallic floor of the danger room. He keeps still there, not even breathing.
What the hell is wrong with me? I knew I wouldn't be able to get through that stupid armor.. I knew better. Why the hell can't I have a useful gift. Ugh this is so stupid, I'm so useless. I hope Pops doesn't hear about this. I'm such a waste
Without a word, Kid punches the ground with all his force, releasing a loud crack as he suffers multiple fractures in his right hand and wrist. He pushes himself up off the floor, gets to his feet and walks out, completely ignoring everyone else. As he marches out, he rubs his injured hand, applying pressure.
I've gotta train harder, get better, find a way to be useful
Kid Wonder would then leave the house and seclude himself to the wooded area outside, where he can train and punch all the trees his heart desires without anyone bothering him. Why not be angsty?

He rubs the back of his head, grinning back Yeah, sort of. I have all those nice wolfy features, but I don't seem to have the weaknesses of a werewolf. Sliver doesn't affect me. It's not limited by the moon. Plus I'm less hairy. Actually before I learn of mutants, I thought I was one. I did all sorts of test, tracked lunar cycles, and tried to figure out what could have infected me before I figured it out.
