Hey, at least your DC is going to be a billion times better now :)

Does anyone hve a list of items that require a certain class or race to use? This one would be tricky since items like Sash of the War Champion woudn't work since you don't actually have the class ability. But if an item is elven only or fighter only, it'd work. I know that aRG added a few items that were racial only, although I'm drawing blanks on what they were.

There are a few alchemical items that have race requirements. Hound's Blood, for example, is much more effective if used by a Gnome, and Alchemical Coal will just make anyone other than a Kobold sick.

I don't know if you can UMD those, though, since they're alchemical substances, not "magic items".

Depending on the situation, some other things that might be worth having a wand of:

Protection from arrows: Probably not useful that often, but at least it lasts for an hour, so if you need it'll work. You could even get a wand of protection from arrows (communal) and protect your whole party, but that's probably not worth it.

Summon swarm: Caster level has no effect on this one, and it's quite an effective spell. I would assume that if you cast a spell with a duration of concentration from a wand, you can concentrate to keep it going, although I'm not 100% about the RAW on that one.

+1 for faerie fire. Protection from evil is also fantastic.

Faerie Fire is nice--I didn't even look at Druid spells when I made my list because I forgot they got unique ones.

Also, I just went through the racial magic items from the ARG that on the prd:

Boots of Escape can take you 400' instead of 30' if you're a gnome.

Ancestral Clasps only work for Half-Elves and can provide proficiency (lame) or a +1 Insight bonus on attacks (awesome!).

Brooches of Blending only function for Half-Elves (or Half-Orcs), and their effect is pretty bizarre on non-half-elves, as you get +20 to appear human/elf, but your features somehow don't change?

The Cloak of Human Guise, however, is significantly cheaper and as such, might be extremely helpful for the more bizarre races out there.

Solidsmoke Pipeweed normally chokes non-halflings, not that the benefit is that amazing.

An Amulet of Channeled Life, assuming you can emulate the negative energy affinifty racial trait, may allow you to use positive energy to pre-heal and give you temporary HP.

Both the Darksire Amulet and Halo of Inner Calm work only for Tieflings, but neither do anything remarkable.

Nagaji Scale Polish can only be used by Reptilian creatures. Not sure if UMD can emulate that.

Incense of Many Fates takes a Samsaran 1 hour to use, while anyone else requires 24. It's not really that great, but that is a huge amount of time saved.

So, yeah, looks like Ancestral Clasps are awesome and maybe, if you're weird looking you want a Cloak of Human Guise. If you can fake racial traits, too, by emulating a race, then the Amulet of Channeled Life might be pretty sweet as well.
