Warrior of the Holy Light vs Paladin Spells!

Advice

Is the abilities from Warrior of the Holy Light good if I'm building a 2-handed Paladin?

The Paladin will be Oath of Vengeance + Warrior of the Holy Light. Oath of Vengeance is given but I'm wondering if adding Warrior of the Holy Light for the extra lay on hands and therefore extra smites is worth it?

I guess the real question is: Is it worth not having the Spell Bless weapon to get more Lay on hands and therefore convert them into more smites?

From what I hear more smites = win.

Keep the spells. Its not just about Bless weapon. Deadly Juggernaut on a scroll or wand is great when facing multiple foes especially if they aren't evil. plus it aint cool but you can use wands to heal without UMD. Just take the extra lay on hands feat once and you should be cool.

I would not reccomend taking Warrior of the Holy light purely to get more LoH, and power more Smites. Spells offer far too much versatility to surrender them so easily. If you really like the Holy Light mechanic then by all means, rock it out, but it sounds to me like you might need to take a second look at some of the spells available to you.

Hero's Defiance will save your life multiple times.
Grace is terribly under-estimated, and Swift action spells are always a god thing.
Litany of Righteousness is an outstanding spell.
Blessing of Fervor, as granted by Oath of Vengeance, is almost a class defining ability.
Deadly Juggernaut and Shield of the Dawnflower can be wickedly effective in the proper circumstances.

Divine Favor, Communal Protection vs. Evil, Sanctify Armor and so on are all excellent choices as well.

I'm a huge fan of the Oath of Vengeance Paladin, and with mine I take the feat Extra Lay on Hands twice, but I'd never give up my spell-casting ability.
