Looking for a good premade adventure... Help needed.

Advice

I am running a game currently for some friends who have no experience with role playing games. I have ran three sessions for them so far. To make the experience easier for them I had them make themselves as characters.

I am currently looking for a good module for a low level party that has lots of role-playing involved in it. Currently the party is second level. I have been playing a relatively story light game as I introduce basic rules to them and get them familiar with different game mechanics.

The group has expressed interest in playing a couple of sessions that are story dominant. I plan on running them in the Carrion Crown AP when it comes out. I need a small adventure to occupy the next couple of sessions till then. The players are getting better at the game but are still very inexperienced in RP.

So my question is this: Do you all have any advice on which low level published module for Pathfinder has a good self contained story, some combat that is fun, and a good amount of character interactions?

Normally I would spend a couple weeks making an adventure but I want them to keep interested in the game so I need something that is already ready to go. I am open for just about anything at this point. I am to worried about the level of the adventure since I can adjust the encounters to fit the level of the group.

Thanks for your time and help,
Rzach

I have looked them over. I am really looking for advice on which will fit the needs I have. Since I can't read them without buying them I am sort of in a bind. The descriptions sound great but if I buy it and it turns out that 75% is combat then it doesn't help me. I need a lot of character interactions for this next game. Teaching RP is hard work as it is.

The best roleplay module I have ever played is Pathfinder 26 The six fold trial

It is part of the council of thieves adventure path but it can be separated out with a little work. You just need a reason for the players to want to get into the Mayor of Town X's manor.

It starts off with the players needing to get hired as actors in a play. This offers tons of opportunity to interact with the Director, and the other actors. Then there is the play itself where very real dangers are present to the party during the play as part of it. There are full lines included, so its a great opportunity for players to explore behaving 'in character' even during combat.

Upon completion of the play the stars (the party) are treated as heroes with a banquet in the mayor's mansion in their honor. This again is a large opportunity for character interaction. After that there is something of a dungeon crawl into the hidden areas of the mansion, which you tone down, or exclude if you want less combat.

I recommend The Whispering Cairn.

Some opportunity for RP definitely exists, along with some tactical learning possibilities. Enjoy!

there is a series of three modules that Paizo did as Pathfinder was being released

I think you should use these and wait for a few parts of Carrion Crown to come out till you start it

Personally Im waiting till all 6 are in my hands and read

Does anyone know any other adventures that are RP heavy?

I strongly recommend Hollow's Last Hope. It's the best free adventure I've ever seen. In many ways, the scenario is basic and straightforward, well suited for a group that's just getting into roleplaying. Although it is designed to take only one game session, it easily segues into Crown of the Kobold King, a sequel in which the characters further explore ruins discovered in the first adventure.

The town of Falcon's Hollow is full of roleplaying opportunities, with numerous colorful characters. If your players particularly like the place, you can pick up the other scenarios and support materials set in the region and build a mini-campaign out of them.

You will need to adjust the scenario from 3.5 to Pathfinder, but it should well reward the effort.

Dungeon Issue #128

Shut In
by F. Wesley Schneider and James Sutter
An elusive killer is leaving a trail of noble blood across the city. When the PCs are recruited to protect an influential spinster, they discover that more is afoot at Dromdal House than anyone suspects. In fact, they may be the ones who need protection, from their aging ward. A D&D adventure for 2nd-level characters.

Drop this in any city. It is a good short adventure you can develop into a bigger one(more foreshadowing, the PCs knows one of the victims, etc)
Its easy to run.
It is available from the paizo store in print and pdf:)

Oh and it has lots of Roleplay moments, there is a dinnerparty, a rather "changeable" old biddy, the senile butler, the investigation itself, the dogs...

As DM you get to ham it up;)

Scarab Sages

I'll just leave this here:

The Tomb of Haggemoth

It's available as a PDF as well. Written for 3.5 but very compatible with Pathfinder. Lots of RP involved - lots of social encounters. Many of the encounters have XP awards in place for avoiding combat and achieving goals by negotiation or stealth. I hesitate to say any more, seeing as how I wrote the thing. :P

Dinnerparty? Old biddy? Senile butler?

Anyone else get "Same procedure as last year?" "Same procedure as every year!"
