Much like there is always room for Jell-o, one can always blame Freehold. For cold weather, at least.

Nekkid Jell-o? Nekkid Freehold? Nekkid Freehold in Jell-o?

Yay for getting paid! Let us know when it's due out (and what it is, of course).

I'm glad you got your story submitted. Good luck!

I don't know when it's due. Well, it is not exactly a secret, as my participation in that project was openly listed in its Kickstarter description and appropriate forum thread... (hint-hint).

Maybe a Jell-o mold of a nekkid Freehold?

Other than the stuff around his neck, I'm all in favour of what the guy on the far left is wearing.

The season poster is pretty good too.

May alarm went off at 3:50 am. I didn't realize that was an actual time.

I leave tomorrow for a combination business/personal trip in Los Angeles. I wish I was there today. Or better yet, yesterday.

Mmmmmm. Sun.

Because cold is awesome.

Travel safe. Bring back some... Whatever LA has.

I bet I could find you both kinds of man pie.

Although I'd be likely to find them in different neighborhoods.

My first actual purchase on GOG.com... FTL!

Also, GOG.com has great customer support - I had connection glitch while confirming transaction, when I reconnected transaction wasn't finished so I finished it... Except a new transaction number was generated and my PayPal was charged twice. One e-mail and a few minutes later I had my money back. Yay.

Google isn't working? Noooooo!

What the hell? Google is out for at least five minutes?!

The world is back here!

Yay, that's good news Drejk.... *insert Norfolk joke here*

Just overheard my sister's talking:
Sister: "I overslept last afternoon, I awoke and was like 'crap'..."
2y.o. Nephew: "Cwap!"

Evidently my wife would exclaim, "Jesus Christ!" when she vacuumed around our then 18-month-old son. Just before her relatives were dropping in for a visit, she took out the vacuum cleaner to make the house presentable, and our son went around repeatedly yelling, "Jesus Christ!"

Awesome! And way better than having your son walk around calling everyone a dumbass. Or yelling at the other cars to "Come on, people!".

At breakfast this morning:

Me: Charlie, what do you want for breakfast?

Father-in-law (aka Grumpy): He gets gruel.

Charlie: I not get gruel. I get bacon.

I was so proud of him.

The smiles make it all worth it. Glad to hear y'all are doing well.

Evening?! Already?! Duh... Traveling Faster-Than-Light clearly causes time dilation...

Maybe I should write something?

Or I could run away from Rebel Scum who bring war and chaos to the Galaxy!

He'll be coming 'round the (laundry) mountain when he comes.

Time to bed... Nothing really creative done today...

*yawn*

I am getting up at 6 am tomorrow for Sunday overtime.

Bitter irony: writing an essay about the importance of family support and involvement for educational success... and having my family belittle my classes because it's not a "real university."

And of course if I have time to go shopping for kiddo's new clothes since she doesn't fit her old ones, well, obviously I have time to clean the house for them.

Again I will say it. Freehold's weatehr dominator has no EFFECT on the southwest. Another sunny day is rolling in.

Good night everybody.

Yeah, Freehold's machine must be broken. We're about to hit 90 degree weather this week.

Yeah, we're gonna get into the 70's here in New Orleans. The only reason it's not going higher is a distinct lack of sunshine and an overabundance of rain.

Also, good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Sunday! Today is our last full day here in the NOLA area. The plan is to go over to Sarah's aunt's house in Metaire to visit with her mom's side of the family, introduce Katie, and let them see how big Charlie has gotten.

At the same time, if the rain passes soon enough, the Saint Patrick's Day parade is going to roll through Metaire. Sarah's aunt's house is just up the street from Metaire Road, where the parade will pass. So we're hoping that the weather clears up so Charlie can see his first parade.

Tomorrow, it's back to Houston. I'm really not looking forward to that drive. It's kind of boring. But at least I'll have the wife and kidlets to keep me company.

Speaking of kidlets, we're pretty much considering Charlie potty trained. While he's been here with his mom and sissy this past week he's been mostly wearing big boy underwear and going on the potty. Very few accidents.

So huzzah for that.

Scarab Sages

sniff sniff

I smell......BACON!!!

Scarab Sages

Yesterday, while visiting with my parents, I looked out in their backyard and saw the hawk they always tell us about. Then I noticed he was eating something. After a few minutes he picked up his food and flew a little further back into the yard. It was a squirrel.

Later, after he flew off, I went out into the backyard and buried what was left of it.

You can't see me, but I'm dancing for you.

Mmmmmm.......coffee.

Back from work. Regretfully there were only six hours of overtime today. Which is shame because work was light, easy and time was passing quickly - two more hours would go in a blink of an eye.

Indeed! And just three more years or so until I can get the other one trained and have no more diapers!!
