Some questions about PFRPG

Rules Questions

hello sorry if this question is just answered somewhere but i'm not too much good with mssageboard:
first question: about item creation a magic item can have an maximum bonus of +10 and to make it the caster should be three time bonus level, it's mean to make an +10 item is needed an 30th level caster?
second question: ever on item creation you can add some other thing on item listed on table 15-29 but i no have clear what is the limitation or the bonus to determinate the power of item
for example an item that take an +2 dexterity bonus it cost 2000 gold it's ok (uhm n item that take +10 to an ability cost only 10000 gold 8)?) but what power it is to determinate maximum level of this item?

Items that increase attributes are limited to +6. You can calculate the cost by taking the bonus, squaring it and multiplying it by 1000gp.

+2 = 4000
+4 = 16000
+6 = 36000

You can add a second attribute by taking the bonus and multiplying it by 1.5 and adding it to the original item cost.

I encourage the creation of custom magic items. As a start, I recommend you read this section fully.

As per your questions...

First Question: I assume you are talking about the +10 (modifier) enhancement bonus a weapon or armor can have. While the *effective* enhancement bonus of a weapon/armor cannot exceed +10, the enhancement bonus itself can only go as high as +5 (which would take a 15th level caster). The other +5 of it would need to use weapon/armor special abilities, which have their own caster level requirements.

Second Question: That depends entirely on what you are adding. Weapons and Armor have their own scale, but if you are adding something onto an existing ring/wondrous item/etc., then you multiply the cost of the power to be added by 1.5. For example, if a character adds the power to confer invisibility to her ring of protection +2, the cost of adding this ability is the same as for creating a ring of invisibility multiplied by 1.5 The Ring of Protection +2 would cost 8,000 GP, and the Ring of Invisibility part would cost 30,000 GP (20,000 x 1.5), giving a final cost of 38,000 GP for a Ring of Invisibility and Protection +2.

I am afraid your last question is not clear enough for me to give a good answer. Can you clarify?

The max enhancement bonus a weapon or armor can have is +5. So you would need to be caster level 15. The +10 refers to the max enhancement bonus (+5) and special properties that can be applied. If an item has both an enhancement bonus and a special ability, the higher of the two caster level requirements must be met. Hope that helps.

ok now i understand is really similar to 3.5 the +10 should be intend splitted in 2 +5 (bonus and other) it ask an 15th level caster, the only exception is ability modifier that can reach +6 with an 18th level caster now is all clear thank you

Not to confuse you more, but ability modifiers go off of a different formula. The 3 x caster level is only for armor/weapon enhancement bonuses. Ability modifiers are different. A bonus to a single stat is CL 8th, a bonus to two stats is CL 12th, and a bonus to three stats is CL 16th. You would need to reference the actual items to get an idea on how this is calculated. Though remember, crafting a Wondrous Item does not require you to meet the CL. It only uses the CL as a reference for the Crafting DC.

Now that is sage advice.
