I would like to know one thing (because we just started to play) but when Verik is arrested by the PC, if he talks about Vimanda, does the PC have to know her name or not? Because in the "guide to Korvosa" it is said that "Vimanda created a new persona: cousin Melyia from Cheliax". So if she presented her as Vimanda only, her official name is Melyia Arkonas, so is it logical to think that the name of Vimanda isn't know by the PC?

That's a good point, and an error in the text that popped in there due to the Guide to Korvosa and the adventure being written at the same time by different people, alas. Vimanda would certainly have introduced herself to Verik by her fake name, Melyia, rather than her true name, since her fake name is the one that's known to Korvosa. The easiest fix for this if you've already introduced the element to your game, of course, is to have Melyia be her REAL name, and Vimanda be her assumed name.
In any event, her assumed name (which is the one she told Verik) is indeed known to the locals, but the Arkonas aren't really easy to get ahold of once the campaign begins. They more or less close up their doors, and it's not until the third adventure that they really start interacting with the outside world again. Of course, you can adjust this to have the PCs meet Vimanda/Melyia before hand to foreshadow events a bit in "Escape From Old Korvosa" if you wish...
