Monsters of Pathfinder #3

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Verdant Wheel

First i would like to really demonstrate my appreciation of this terric selection of monsters, everyone of them is so creative and inspirational. Even rule-wise i like the challenge they impose on PCs. Thanks Paizo and the autor (Nicolas league ?)

But one thing i do not get. Why the Smoke Haunt Touch AC is 20 ? Shouldn´t is be 16 ? Anything i didn´t catch ?

It should be a touch AC of 15. Typo.

I have to agree the bestiary of pathfinder 3 was particularly impressive. I really liked the history of Argorth as that has to be one of the coolest monster origins yet. There was one thing that bothered me though, the scale. I really wasn't a fan of the way the Bestiary 'line-up' was out of scale above 10 feet. I know this sounds silly but I really like to get a proper sense of scale and that just threw me. The mother of oblivion should be enormous towering over Valeros profile. Whereas in the bestiary the image looks like it is barely twice his height. Again I know this is a minor quible but it bugged me a bit. Just wondering if anyone else had any opinions on this or if it was just me being weird.
Also another minor question will the silhouette in the bestiary will always be Valeros's profile? Just curious.

I agree about the scale...i love that they do that...but if a monster is to big then it shouldnt be there.

Either have tiny silhouette standing next to it on a seperate picture or (even better) have a small peice of the monster's portrait in the lineup so its to scale.

The size comparison thing was a good idea... but as we're getting into bigger and bigger monsters... it's causing problems. For #3, the monsters cover such a huge range, we had to fake it a bit (you'll note that the numbers to the left don't scale up 1:1 all the way).

Starting with Crimson Throne, the Bestiary will be opening with a half-page illustration, just like every other feature in Pathfinder. Not sure what we'll do with the scale thing yet... but it won't be opening the Bestiary starting with Pathfinder #7 on.
