New Dry Erase Dungeon Tiles release!

New from the guys at Roll 4 Initiative comes the Dry Erase Dungeon Tiles, three brand new packs of dry-erase gridded gaming tiles!

The interlocking feature of these tiles makes them fully compatible with themselves, providing for infinite expansion and the best dungeon mapping experience ever! Use the larger tiles for multiple rooms or great halls and the smaller tiles for connecting halls or corridors. Made out of heavy-duty chipboard (over 1/8" thick), this set of tiles provides more flexibility than a traditional gaming mat by allowing you to assemble your dungeon map like a puzzle as your adventure grows!

Grab the Combo Set to get yourself started! This pack of 21 double-sided dry-erase Dungeon Tiles contains five 10" and sixteen 5" tiles, each with a 1" grid. Then augment your collection with the 9-pack of Larger Tiles or the 36-pack of Smaller Tiles for ultimate flexibility!

My group uses the nine pack of larger tiles for every game. They are of great utility and we have completely abandoned all use of vinyl mats.

I have to say my old vinyl map of 20 years has yet to be replaced.......

I was going to draw a wall on the map tiles, but now I might not do it after all.

Anyone know if the linking system on these is compatible with the old tac-tiles?

Darrell, I'm afraid I'd have to guess no. From the video on the tac-tiles site it looks like there is only one tab per side there. The Dungeon Tiles have two tabs per side, probably so they can be more modular with the smaller tiles they sell.

Having used the large tiles extensively I am not sure that the smaller tiles are either needed or useful, but then again maybe they are better for people with more table space.

I might save up to get Tac-Tiles for myself someday, but these are doing very well under regular use.
