Cool! I guess this is what you switched to after RotR?
By the way, does mean I get to see some battle pics? :-)
Yup. We've been doing a bunch of one shots. This one is actually a sequel of sorts to the Crypt of the Everflame game I ran way back before Runelords started. Only one character carried over, but we're still having a good time with it.
Now I'm just hoping against hope that you all come out with Paper Minis for The Harrowing by the time we get to it later in the Spring ;-)
Anyway, I will post pics if I can. Unfortunately, my wife has been sick this week, which means I didn't manage to cut any of them out, and the session is tonight. So we'll see how that goes...

Define "near future." We're running this trio of adventures to give our GM short breaks in between volumes of the Serpent's Skull, AP. We're just wrapping up Crypt of the Everflame, and the paper minis for that came out just a couple of weeks before we started that module. Starting in two weeks we'll play out Book 3 of Serpent's Skull, and then tackle Masks of the Living God, for which the paper minis are now available.
I'd guess it'll be three months before we'd need City of Golden Death, but probably not too much longer than that.

D'oh! Sorry to hear that. Well, you could always do a quick triangle fold, that would take just a few minutes versus cutting and pasting everything.
By the way, I don't own the Harrowing so I don't think I'll be getting to that any time soon.
Sorry.

It's hard to define 'near future' because I've got a lot of projects on my plate and I'm trying to prioritize as best I can. I think I can get it done by then but I can't be 100% sure. I will do my best. :)

Well, the bad news is that I haven't gotten to use the minis yet because the game was cancelled, due to a couple of players being absent. But I guess that means I have time to make the whole set! :-)
I'm wondering, though, why it's so monochromatic. I don't have the module with me, but I'm pretty sure it said that the Acolytes had white robes, the Priests wore grey, and the Heralds wore black. Not that a bunch of black-robed cultists aren't useful, for sure, but I know my players will be asking me why everybody suddenly got a promotion ;-)

Hmmm... I guess I misunderstood something I read.
I'll look into it. Thanks Tamago!Tamago RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16 |
Just finished the campaign last night! The minis worked very well :-)
Photos:
Initial combat with the Mask Golem
Later on in the same battle. Note that I was able to fold up the base of the Mask Golem when it took on Swarm Form, which was pretty cool. Note also the fact that the Party is being rescued by Evlar -- at this point in the battle *every single PC* was unconscious except for the fighter, who was Dominated. A TPK was averted by a few healing potions that Evlar swiped from the higher-ups :-)
The final battle with Krant! My players sure enjoyed their sweet, sweet revenge!
I was actually a little disappointed that the PCs skipped the entire lower level, and managed to avert a confrontation with Egarthis by barricading the door (Nat 20 on a Knowledge: Engineering check!). So I didn't actually get to *use* many of the minis. But it was still great to have them available.
My group is going to take a break from Pathfinder for a little while (some of my players want to try Exalted, which sounds cool, and I really want to play a Fate Core game). But we will probably be back to do City of Golden Death eventually. Hopefully those minis will be finished by then ;-)

Well, I read through the module again pretty carefully, and I didn't find anyplace where it stated flat-out that acolytes wear white, priests wear grey, and heralds wear black. However, there are several references to most of the cultists wearing white robes, some wearing grey, and a few wearing black. However, the PCs are definitely wearing white, and there's also a bit where it talks about how the PCs wear the same outfits as the rest of the Acolytes, except that their robes are newer and cleaner (for a while, at least).
One other error I found: the Mask Golem mini is size Large, but it turns out the stat block for the golem lists it as size Medium. Which is too bad, because the mini looks really cool at this size, but it's also a pretty small room.

You can infer it from this encounter:
On p.9 "Twenty minutes after the PCs arrive, a group of six masked cultists arrive, three dressed in white robes, two in gray robes, and one in black robes.
Egarthis CR 6
Priests of Razmir (2) CR 2
Acolytes of Razmir (3) CR 1/2
But it's also made explicit on p.26-27
Acolyte of Razmir CR 1/2
Gear short sword, daggers (2), sap, studded leather armor, light wooden shield, white robes, iron mask, 2d10 gp
Priest of Razmir CR 2
Gear masterwork rapier, light crossbow with 20 bolts, sap, +1 studded leather, masterwork light steel shield, gray robes, iron mask, sunrod (2), thieves tools, 2d10 gp
Herald of Razmir CR 4
Gear masterwork rapier, masterwork light crossbow with 20 bolts, +1 studded leather,+1 light steel shield, black robes, iron mask, sunrod (2), thieves’ tools, 124 gp

Some additional thoughts:
All of the figures are listed as human males.
The Herald figure might have been better as a female, as there is at least one (Aglanda, who is absent as she is with Iramine) and all four of the Heralds that the PCs can encounter in this adventure (Egarthis, Faltore, Rennec, and Xanthar) have individual figures already.
Likewise, some of the Acolytes and Priests probably should be female.
Similarly, at least some of the Acolytes are actually Half-Orcs. That probably would not matter too much appearance-wise, with the masks and robes, but they might be built a little larger than the humans.
I think the race and gender distribution are spelled out in the section of the module that discusses the Minions of Razmir.

Hey Urath DM, thanks for sharing your thoughts. There actually is a female in all three choices (Acolyte, Priest and Herald) or at least i intended them to be female. Heavy robes, masks and hoods tend to blur the genders a bit.
And I did put a half-orc in the acolytes, the only way to know are his greenish hands.
Otherwise, i have sent in the edited file and hope to see it posted soon!
Thanks all!

I'm just basing my comment on the posted content list in the product description, above. If there's more distribution than indicated there, then (in the words of Miss Emily Latella) "oh... never mind". :)
