What's the purpose of cure light wounds in the Healing cleric domain?

Advice

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but what is the purpose of cure light wounds as your first level spell in the healing domain when you're a cleric? Does having that help you at all? Since you can switch any spell you want spontaneously with a "cure" spell, doesn't that not help you to randomly have a spell specified that it must be cure?

You can't spontaneously swap out domain spells for cure spells; you're stuck with whichever domain spell you choose for that day. Thus, having cure spells as domain spells helps you if you want to squeeze every possible drop of healing out of your slots.

Technically, it could possibly come in handy because you can't normally convert domain slots to CLW. But if you're going to use any of your spell slots on something besides CLW, it's completely useless. This is one of the reasons the Healing domain is so awful.
