Most GMs have had at least one player who has decided to have their character craft their own magic items. Many GMs will have had a player fail. And some will have had a player fail so badly that a cursed item was the result. So what did the player's character end up with?
Cursed items have been far too long relegated to the realms of unspecific generalization. While those items of benefit to their possessors are listed in significant detail, items whose benefits come with a price, or are just outright dangerous, are primarily left to tables of possible effects. No longer shall those select few specific cursed items be forced to stand alone.
Damnable Things: Rings is the first installment in a series of publications focusing on cursed items. In this first installment you will find over 100 specific cursed rings to unleash upon your players, each one being a cursed variant of a specific magic ring. With effects ranging from the humorous to the hazardous to straight out deadly these rings should pose an additional and hopefully unexpected challenge to your players.
You'll also find 15 new beneficial rings, three with improved or greater variants. We're not heartless after all (though you will find cursed versions of these as well ... we're no angels either).

I have to say, that is some nasty stuff. After reading that I'm tempted to get someone else to try on all my rings first! As a DM I could see throwing some of these in a game. Some of the rings are incredibly evil and creative.
This book should be an aid to you if you're a dungeon master who wants to throw some mayhem into your game or a wizard with a score to settle. For 5.99 I would highly recommend it.
After downloading this book, and reading how each of the rings work for you and against you, I immediately took some of the rings to my DM and asked if I could use them in our current game. As some one who likes to play Chaotic Neutural, I also asked if I could make some others for my "friends"..muahaha..they have know idea what they are really wearing!
Thanks for the new gear guys! Love it!
Looking forward to more damn things to come!

Saint Bernard, please let us know what you think. Any and all feedback is welcome; after all, how else can we know what we got right and what we did not?
Hugo, we could not have done it without you. Thanks again for the great art. :)
We are working on the next installment currently (as well as some other projects), so keep your eyes open for additional products in the near future. :)
I picked it up and have only skimmed it so far. Way too early to try to review it. The 15 good rings are definitely desirable and could easily be placed in a treasure. The bad rings range from amusing to really hurtful to the bearer. Anyone getting one of the damnable rings is in for a really bad day. Some of those are really nasty. I really like the ring of wizardry IV cursed ring, 70% spell failure is pretty tough to deal with. I was amused at the cursed ring of elemental control (bad) where it increased your chance of diplomancy with the oppposite elementals, this is a cool effect. Once I have a chance to really read it I will post a review.
We're glad you've liked what you've seen so far, Saint Bernard, and are looking forward to your review. We hope you find the rest of the offerings in this volume to be of similar enjoyment.
Blackerose, thanks! Be sure to let us know what you think of it.
And for everyone who picks this up, we would love to hear about your players' reactions when they encounter any of the cursed rings. We were in a twisted frame of mind when we were coming up with these variants and would love to hear about the reactions they garner. ;)
Glad you liked it! Just remember, use these in moderation. A little evil goes a long way. ;)
We should be having the next installment of this line coming out in a couple months (and some other titles coming available in between installments), so keep an eye out for them. :)
