The Steel Sqwire Flip-Mat is designed to make your game portable & affordable. It is constructed of durable laminated card
stock (~70 lb paper—comparable to that of a restaurant menu).
The Flip-Mat is 24" by 30", and it quickly and conveniently folds to a size slightly smaller than a sheet of notebook paper: 8" by 10". One
side is printed with 1" squares; on the Flip side, there are 1" hexes.
When mapping out your adventures you will no longer have to worry about the markers that you or your players may be traveling with. The Flip-Mat can handle wet-erase, dry-erase, and permanent markers.
This gaming aid is great for conventions, new gamers, or Game Masters who want multiple mats to pre-draw separate encounters.

Please, please, please bring this back! I completely regret not buying more of these! The hexes and the squares made the Flip-Mat perfect for all my varieties of games. I've had mine since 2008, it's still good, but man do I wish I had a few others, just to make giant, amazing maps!
Mine is starting to wear out, but having a hex map on one side and grid on the other can be quite useful for outdoor exploration type adventures. You folks should consider a rerun of these, particularly with Kingmaker being out there.
I used a large Chessex Battlemat for years for my Battletech and Champions gaming. It was great for large Battletech games, but took up too much space and was too easily stained for Champions. Recently finding this product was a godsend. It erases cleanly no matter what I draw on it with, it folds up to fit in my notebook easily, and it has just enough space for most situations. It could stand to be a row or two wider or longer, but that's a quibble. This stands out as a fantastic, deceptively basic, product that no game master should be without.
I actually ordered the market one (as I never use hex) and ended up with this one, but hey, this is a no nonsense battle map that does the job (and Paizo customer service being fantastic, they're sending me a free market map :)). It folds up to slightly smaller and A4 which is way more convenient than carrying a rolled mat around. It's not huge, but it's certainly big enough for any fight and for drawing small maps like warehouses on. Two will cover a reasonably sized dungeon as it will only be 4 inches narrower than a Megamat. It's *very* easy to erase dry, wet or permanent marker from it which means for maps that are too large you can draw them out room by room with dry-erase without much disruption. Even dry-erase doesn't seem to rub off too much in transit which is handy. It is a little bit flimsy and sure, if I'd paid megamat prices I'd be very disappointed, but for such a cheap price and considering you can use whatever pens come to hand on it, this is an awesome purchase. I would recommend getting one of the graphic ones if you don't use hex though, as you can always flip them over for extra mapping area.
....this is by far the best thing that happened to my games. I'm a DM and have been for years. This mat does wonders for my games. The best part of it is you can use it over and over and over again. This makes gaming fun and fast. And the clean up is great as well. I recommend this mat for anyone playing table top rpgs.*****
