Wynnie enters the break room and seeing Janus makes her way over to sit near him. She does her best to keep a smile on her face, suppressing the dark feelings. "Morning, Janus. Nice weather today, huh? Looks like they changed the assignments again. Looks like we're on the same unit again. Nice to see a familiar face, even if they are becoming less common."

"The Half-orc was hired by a person named Hollins with the Orphan's Aid Society. They were to escort the, um, 'merchandise', to a boat named the Kraken's Revenge. He never actually saw Hollins, only his associate Grizz, a gnoll. According to Ignot, Hollins is only a lieutenant in the organization."

Just giving you a heads-up that at the end of this month (July 31), I'll be leaving town for two weeks for work. I don't know the status of an available internet connection while I'll be gone, or how much free time I'll have, but I'll post as able.

After that, I'll only be back for a day before heading to Gencon afterwards, getting back home late the 19th. So between those two dates I'll be sporadic at best, possibly unavailable. Sorry for any inconveniences this may impose.

While Goliath prepares his alchemical mixture, Wynnie prepares to have a go with the prisoner when he awakes. "Well hello there, Mister...?" Either way he gives his name, Wynnie continues.

"Let's talk about what happened. You had a bunch of crates with kids in them. This is fact, we found them. Now I'm sure you can come up with all kinds of stories about not knowing what was in them, but ignorance is no excuse for the law."

"So let's discuss our options. Right now, if this was some other part of town, you'd get a magistrate to decide your judgement and all that. But we're not in some other part of town. We're here in the Warrens. That means right now you're pretty much facing execution."

"Now I'm a reasonable woman. I don't want to kill anyone if I can help it. Not going to lie, selling kids off, I really don't like that. But I'm not after you, you're just a minor thug. I'm after whoever you work for."

"So this is what I'm recommending. Just tell me what you know, and I'm sure there's something we can work out."

Seeing the one heading for the crates, Wynnie bolts after him. I'll wait until Janus attacks to actually charge him, so Janus gets flanking still if this guard is still up.

Wynnie stood at attention, listening to the captain's orders. It was a fight to get stationed here, her father still not in agreement with her decision. But this is where she could make a difference.

The captain's description of the boarding house, gave her a few chills. She had already decided she would live as another of the watch, but she gave pause to reconsider for a moment. No, she would stay true to her convictions. Even with the roaches.

Looking at the others assembled, she began to realize how out of place she felt. Most, if not all, were taller than she, a mere 5'2", the sword she carried strapped to her back almost as tall as she was. Her grandfather's blade was heavy, but she had begun to grow used to it.

Running a hand through her short cut blond hair, she walks over to see who she was to work with. "Brenog, Goliah, Akhil?" She calls aloud.

Trying to more fully integrate Wynnie. From the reading I would think she would be from Shaelin's Landing district originally. I'm curious as to how big the Quorum is. I'd be interested in Wynnie's father being a member.

I play a lore oracle in my friends table-top game that is kind of a turtle (though I still move 30'). I can't hit anything really, but our DM does get annoyed at me. One of our tactics when fighting big things is me running through threatened areas to provoke all the AoOs so the squisher people can move in. The 17 AC barbarian and 21 AC Magus appreciate it when my 34 AC Oracle buffs, triggers the attacks, and they can get in unimpeded.
