Well, the 'Harvest Parts' and 'Grisly Ornament' feats *do* exist...

(I had an Occultist who favoured them.)

'Gnasher's 100% all-organic crafts - made from the blood, bones, sinews, and skin of defeated foes from across Golarion, and the planes beyond!'

Nah, cross-stitch seems more like his speed...

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Intimidating Prowess and Cornugon Smash seem entirely appropriate for Gnasher ;-)

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Well, there was a Pathfinder Society rule that animal companions with an Int of at least 3 could 'activate' magic items like Ioun Stones; I just wanted to make it 'official' by turning it into a Trick.

Don't worry - I wasn't trying to get Shadow to do something ludicrous like use a wand ;-)

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

In the interim, I guess we should focus on levelling up to 9 ;-)

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Alright, I *think* the order should have gone through for you, Miteke (at the very least, my account was charged). Let me know if there are any problems.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Sure!

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Definitely.

You can send .pdfs as gifts; it is one of the options during checkout.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

As a former VL, I can certainly say that it would be frowned upon by Paizo.

That said, I can 'gift' you the .pdf for the next book (via the Paizo website!), if you like?

Thanks for the game!

I am incredibly glad that the final fight did *not* end up being a TPK! I shudder to think what would have happened if we had not taken that thing down this round...

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din immediately taps Gnasher with an Infernal Healing.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Going for broke, Seif-al-Din moves forward, and targets the creature with another Burst of Radiance.

Spell Resistance: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10.

Spell Resistance, Borrow Fortune: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25.

DC 17 Reflex, or be Blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 2 (Dazzled for the same duration on a success).

If they are Evil, they *also* take 5d4 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 1, 3) = 8 damage, no save.

Well, that is far from ideal on the damage roll :-/

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

yeah, not enough space.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Slightly concerned by what is going on, Seif-al-Din tries to buff the party a little.

"May the Blessings of the Dawnflower be upon us."

Bless. That makes Malgrim's attack a 21, and hopefully gives Gnasher a slight edge, too!

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Agreed. IRL takes precedence over online!

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din winces at Malgrim's remark.

"Well, I was trying to *not* mention that, but yes, as it happens, one of them has been eviscerated, and the other rendered into goo, so it would be difficult for us to acquiesce to that particular request."

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Also, I am perfectly happy to have healed Malgrim.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

I doubt it. At the time, Paizo did not have the license to use that particular piece of IP. Something like a Denizen, however, might be possible; I remember them showing up in scenarios for PFS.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din shrugs.

"At the very least, I can be cordial enough to hear you out. Being an ally of that Jackal, however, is hardly a point in your favour."

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Psst... Malgrim, Gnasher did a big CdG to it ;-) Failing that, Seif-al-Din will turn off the amulet on Shadow, and let them rip it to shreds.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Well, we still have that side room to explore...?

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

For Seif-al-Din, move to stand, and using my standard action to move. Staying prone next to a swarm seemed like a *horrible* idea :-P

Shadow... just wanted to get away from the swarm.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28.
Fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21.

With a yowl of surprise, Shadow moves away from the swarm.

Meanwhile, Seif-al-Din stands and does the same thing.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

No, I put in the to-hit properly.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

*cough*

There should be an additional +2 on all of Shadow's damage rolls, thanks to Divine Favor. That's what I get for not adjusting my macros properly!

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Will(Seif): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17.
Will(Shadow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12.

Yes to the non-lethal. I worried it might be immune, but there wasn't anything I could do about that...

Shadow keeps tearing into the aberration.

Bite, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 10 + 2 = 29, for 1d8 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 7 + (1) = 12 damage.
Claw, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 10 + 2 = 28, for 1d8 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 7 + (5) = 20 damage.
Claw, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 10 + 2 = 22, for 1d8 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 7 + (1) = 16 damage.

Meanwhile, Seif-al-Din defensively casts a spell...

Concentration: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 Vs. DC 17.

...enveloping Shadow in the defensive cladding of Shield Companion.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Immediate action. 'Misfortune' on Gnasher to force him to re-roll that Will save!

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Will (Seif): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26.
Will (Seif): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8.
Will (Shadow): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25.

Awaking up, Seif-al-Din sees that the conscious world is equally full of nightmares (getting a bit of a headache in the process).

"Shadow! Shambulio!"

He then casts a spell defensively...

Concentration: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21 Vs. DC 21.

...enveloping Father Jackal and his pet lion in a Burst of Radiance.

DC 17 Reflex, or be Blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 4 (Dazzled for the same duration on a success).

If they are Evil, they *also* take 5d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 4, 1) = 9 damage, no save.

Shadow then charges the thing...

Bite, Charge, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 18, for 1d8 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (7) + 7 + (5) = 19 damage.
Claw, Charge, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 27, for 1d6 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 7 + (2) = 15 damage.
Claw, Charge, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 26, for 1d6 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 7 + (4) = 13 damage.
Rake, Charge, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 19, for 1d6 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 7 + (5) = 15 damage.
Rake, Charge, Divine Favor: 1d20 + 10 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 10 + 2 + 2 = 26, for 1d6 + 7 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + 7 + (3) = 14 damage.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Technically, when Shadow woke up, he would have been shunted to the nearest available space (to avoid squeezing).

So no.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

No action. Sorry, I made a 'non-action' post earlier.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

RAW, even a high-Int Animal Companion is hobbled by their Tricks - so it *does* default to Guard, but if it is not attacked directly, and I am not either, it shouldn't take any actions.

At least, that is how it was handled in PFS 1 games...?

Frustratingly, if I had had a chance to direct Shadow to attack *before* falling asleep, it wouldn't be a problem :-/

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16.
Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22.

Shadow manages to resist the effects of both gazes, yowling in anger.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

RAW, Shadow won't do anything without Seif-al-Din telling him to, so don't expect anything from me for the moment :-/

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17.
Seif-al-Din: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11.

Shadow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23.
Shadow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8.

Seif-al-Din and Shadow weather the mind-shock from the aberration, and then immediately fall asleep when they near Father Jackal.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din offers-up a prayer to the Dawnflower, casting Divine Favor upon Shadow.

Turn done.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din shrugs.

"They could be constructs of some kind, I suppose? Malgrim, you could try shooting them; if they don't react, they probably aren't an immediate threat."

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Hmm. Can't do Endure Elements, but...

Seif-al-Din pumps some more magical energy into Rayhan.

Infernal Healing, Lesser Restoration, and Resist Energy(Cold).

He then smiles, not showing a shred of warmth.

"Not yet, but we are working on it. Rest assured, we will be collecting... interest... from them."

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Once Rayhan has been extracted, Seif-al-Din immediately gives him a magical once-over.

Lesser Restoration: 1d4 ⇒ 3 Ability damage restored, and eliminating Fatigue, or reducing Exhaustion to Fatigue.

Infernal Healing: 10 damage healed.

"Do you wish us to escort you to the surface now, or wait until we have... dealt... with 'Father Jackal'...?"

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din jumps on Shadow's back, and then rides the big cat to the other side.

Acrobatics: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Shadow doesn't have a swim speed, so I don't see a reason to make them potentially drown.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Fort (Seif-al-Din): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19.

Fort (Shadow): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28.

Oof. By the skin of my teeth!

Barely resisting the power of the eye, Seif-al-Din casts Burst of Radiance again, desperately trying to blind it!

DC 17 Reflex, or be Blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 1 rounds (Dazzled for the same duration on a success).

If they are Evil, they *also* take 5d4 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 1, 3) = 11 damage, no save.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Fort (Seif-al-Din): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24.

Fort (Shadow): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26.

Seif-al-Din casts Burst of Radiance again.

DC 17 Reflex, or be Blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 1 (Dazzled for the same duration on a success).

If they are Evil, they *also* take 5d4 ⇒ (3, 4, 2, 4, 4) = 17 damage, no save.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Yeah... I will use Misfortune (Immediate Action) on it, to force it to re-roll that Reflex save!

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Vaguely being aware that more-than-two-eyes-is-bad, Seif-al-Din targets it with another blinding blast.

Burst of Radiance. DC 17 Reflex, or be Blinded for 1d4 ⇒ 2 Rounds (Dazzled for the same duration on a success).

If they are Evil, they *also* take 5d4 ⇒ (1, 3, 3, 1, 3) = 11 damage, no save.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din nods gravely.

"It is rather a large underground complex; it must be quite old. Making something like this in a hurry would have attracted a lot of attention."

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din wrinkles his nose in disgust.

"Someone has a decidedly warped taste when it comes to internal decor."

Whether he is referring to the art, or the piles of corpses, is left deliberately ambiguous.

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Spellcraft(Wand): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24.
Spellcraft(Plate): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24.
Spellcraft(Axe): 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33.

"Fair enough. The fully-charged Wand of CMW might be useful, though."

That means 10 charges, right?

(AC 25/16/20; HP 86/86; Fort +6, Ref +10, Will +7; Init +7, Perception +0, CMD 12) Samsaran Oracle (Dual-Cursed) 9

Seif-al-Din loses no time rifling through the man's possessions.
