Yes, I am in. Of course. But I will miss the world of Greyhawk. I had hoped to get high enough level in your game to influence the world a little.

Ironically another GM I like a lot is running a 5e game I am in and its set in Greyhawk! We are in Geoff right now. If you are interested I can share a link.

I'll take a look at the recruitment now but might not have time to get to making a character until Monday. I only made it back home late yesterday and seem to be behind on everything.

Edit. Looked at the tread and see we don't make characters until players are selected. So count me in for sure. Curious to see what the party looks like. :)

Since I love Greyhawk I am less happy about seeing this game end than others seem to be. Hmm. Why not set the new 5e game in the world of greyhawk?

I'll certainly give the new game a try. A little unsure about character creation and strongly prefer a level character creation system where it's less likely one character is clearly head and shoulders above the others in power. Seems to happen in my home games all the time. Roll up 6 characters and one will be on the low side of the statistical average and one on the high side, on average. I'd rather roll class randomly and then build with points, if you want a random element. Could also roll other starting choices randomly. ???

I am thinking Sverrir's 29 perception may note where the thing moved. Lets not be wasting the wizard's Haste spell now. If nothing else, go try to run into it. If its large it can't be too many places. :)

I enjoy role playing but also like the challenge of using our resources to win fights. I am happy with the mix of role and roll in this game, or would be if we could pick up the pace. My cards on the table comment will be that wth the slow pace, combined with the large number of other games I play, I have a very hard time remembering plot and goals and NPCs of this game.

If we can pick things up and get everyone posting I will both enjoy the story more and can more easily role play. Any chance we can get back to daily posting again?

Also I fear the slow pace has cost of Marcus. He has not posted in the game thread since December and not in the Discussion since February. Has he announced he has dropped? He is an excellent player when he is interested in a game. I would hate to loose him.

Lucid pipes up Its the mold that's dangerous. Poison spores if I am remembering correctly. The big mushrooms are like alarms. You gotta kill them all at once or they shriek something terrible and give away our presence. He considers. I could burn out an area with a fireball but there is too much of the yellow mold and the light of the fireball would likely set all the shriekers off that were close but not in the fire itself. I could also summon up some small fire elementals to romp thought and get most of the mold or roll a flaming sphere through, but the shriekers are gonna shriek.

Just how big is the chamber and is there any type of path through?

Sure to the cloak if crafting time is available. He is upgrading his already. And also sure to the boots, but that will take at least a 7 day week of dedicated crafting. Not sure how much time we have, which is why Lucid did not enchant his headband of Int up to +4. That would have taken at least 12 days. Per the gameplay thread it looks like we had no time.

Always too many things to spend money on. Lucid will be conservative and spend his money on a mithral buckler, a lesser metamagic rod of silence, and an upgrade for his cloak of resistance. That will leave him with less than 200 gold.

They should fit anyone, but again, we should sell them. Mage Armor is better and cab be had for 8 hours for 1000.00 gold (pearl of power). Those bracers will sell for 4500.00 gold.

Can we get a final loot list and cut out so we can continue? There are worms to kill. :)

Of course Lucid would armor you up. He'd likely do it with a spell slot if you did not have the chance to get a pearl. But he would appreciate your getting a pearl to help keep him charged up. :)

First, thanks for the hard work of compiling these lists. I do have a couple questions for you though. Those numbers you present Sverrïr are in addition to the 1900 our GM mentions above, right?

If an item is on your list above can I assume its not in the Magic Item Sale number?

Thinking in rough numbers from GM Fanguar's list, 6 +1 swords (2315 each) would sell for 6945.00 gold. The +1 frost greataxe (8350) would sell for 4175.00 gold. Those weapons together sell for 11120.00 gold, which is more than your total above. So I am not sure what is in your list and what is not.

And Lucid would be pleased to wear the boots but could give them up if someone else really needed them for their build.

The Bracers of Armor do not stack with the Mage Armor that you can get from Lucid. I think we have had this conversation before? Anyway if you want you can buy a 1st level Pearl of Power and with it Lucid will cast Mage Armor on you (+4 AC for 8 hours at current level). If you decide 8 hours is not sufficient. get two or even three pearls. For 3K you can have 24 hour a day mage armor. That saves you 1000 gold, works against incorporeal undead, and is twice as much armor as your propose bracers.

Amulet of Mighty Fists. But you can use weapons. There are even monk weapons. And archetypes get all sorts of proficiencies including all marshal weapons. Until you can bypass material DRs it might be a good idea to carry a weapon of each material you cannot bypass.

Glad we are moving again but I am confused about loot. Been too long I guess. Where does the 1900 each come from? What other loot did we sell or distribute? Trying to catch up. And I assume we would have had a chance to shop before heading to the cold forge?

I agree with Sverrïr. Alter Self gives a nice ability increas too, do not forget. And Beast Shape 1 allows flight and climb and swim speeds. Just too handy not to have. I think you may want Misforture too so maybe extra hex for your next feat?

Thinking about Sverrïr I came up with Superstition - +4 to saves vs magic at your level while raging. And that could lead to Witch Hunter and Spell Sunder. Seems to fit the dower dwur to me.

Celestial Blood would come in handy but does not seem to fit. Elemental Rage, maybe, but I don't see a connection to an element.

All that sounds good. I wonder if as part of the deal to sell the mirror we might reserve the right to use it now and again. Not sure OOC if we will ever need it again but Lucid has developed quite a distaste for dopplegangers.

Cool. I like to level!
Leveling up to 8th level wizard and gaining another point of Int for for an intelligence of 20 and 22 with the stat boosting item he has.

HP increases by 6 including Con bonus of 2
BAB goes to +4
Will save increases by 1 to +6
Gain an extra 3rd and 4th level spell slot, plus an extra second level slot for the int bump. Learned Dwarven with this int bump
Gain two new spells: Acid Pit and Wall of Fire
Gain the Dimensional Steps ability - 240' feet per day as a standard action used in 5' increments. And I can take friends with me by using additional feet of movement for each companion I move.

Still Points: Partly because of the stat bump I gain a total of15 skill points. I shall spend them this way:

1 to Knowledge Arcana
4 to Knowledge Dungeoneering
2 to Knowledge Nature
2 to Knowledge Planes
2 to Knowledge Religion
1 to linguistics learning Undercommon
1 to Spellcraft
2 to stealth

Regarding city alignments: I do recall that the Judge's Guild product, The City State of the Invincible Overlord, the city was Lawful Evil, or at least the ruler was. I a discussion about how that was the best alignment to run a city with and being impressed with the argument at the time.

Roger all that. My supposition about the city having an evil alignment was a guess based on how it seemed to operate so far. I certainly did not mean to imply that I knew. Heck I did not know cities actually had alignments. :)

I think it absolutely crucial to turn in the drow (both living and dead) and the doppelgangers to the proper authorities, and not just to help clear our names. My hope is that there is someone in charge here that did not know such creatures were operating in their city and will care and begin to take action once its proven. Now, do we know who that is? Maybe start with our wizard friend, if we can get back to his place.

First I agree with option 2, except the part where we let the mirror out of our possession. I suppose I could agree to a loan of said mirror if I trusted the loanee. Second, while I do not wish to start a discussion about alignments, Lucid would have no problem putting down the drow, though he would do it as humanely as possible. That drow attacked us, is an enemy combatant inside our city, is non-repentant, will not cooperate, is still quite dangerous, and hopes to do us harm in the future. But in this case the greater good may be served by letting the city guard question him. Oh, and I'd be in favor of fast forwarding clearing our name and purging the government of dopples. Note that this is Greyhaw however and I suspect it likely that the government here is of LE alignment and quite ruthless. Though I doubt they are aligned with these particularly enemies.
