My goal is to run four concurrent games of it.

Interested in playing? :D

How should I contact you for a game?

I plan to start a second pbp this week. :)

Otherwise, move to Houston.

We're getting right on it!

absolutely!

I nominate the Presidential family's move-in party as the first meeting for the Houston FAWTL-Con Planning Commission.

Have I mentioned that my morning commute averages about 20 or so minutes? And my evening commute has been pretty solidly hovering around 30 minutes! At just shy of a mile less than my old Philly commute, that's already a BIG win!!!

Yes. Always remember...Houston is fawesome.

I'll get back to catching up on the post backlog in a moment, but in the meantime I'm back home safely after my 900 mile drive today, but the Colorado Springs area is on fire again!

After the $100,000,000 plus in damage last year can we please get some f@#@ing rain!? Please before more folks are killed.

Grrrr.........

I'm glad you're home, but I'm not glad CS is dealing with wildfires.

Thanks.

To make matters worse Denver cut our forestry and fire fighting budget this year. Denver also had to work some $67 million into the budget this year IIRC to pay the victims of the fire they started last year near Denver.

My state is run by ass clowns.

Or maybe not, can't say I've heard about any Texas moose. But you never know.
Texas mooses are cunning and sneaky beasts.

We call them "meeses".

I assure you, I did not just pull that out of my @$$.

Okay. she got the offer from that we wanted for TX. July/August and we're there.

It's not the house I grew up in, but it's the change we need.

Aaaah, yes, our plan has worked! You are coming at the worst time of year - never fear, if you can survive a Houston summer, you're good to go for anything else!

FAWTL Mecca is well and truly Houston!!! We're reaching critical mass!!!

Phone interview today. This job sounds promising and may be a step up from my last one. Fingers crossed.

Best of luck!

Also, that was rather quick.

Many sectors of Houston are hopping. I got an offer within 4 days of initiating a job search. I might have had 2, but I let the recruiter know I wasn't interested in the other job up front.

BTW, my headhunter was awesome. They only work with IT jobs, but if anyone in Houston wants to be hooked up with them, PM me. I contracted through them at the new job until I was hired in, and have no complaints whatsoever.

My younger brother keeps trying to lure the wife and I down with knowledge of various engineering-related jobs we could get.

You know you want to...

No one ever comes to visit me......

You were on my list too. The corporate headquarters of my former company was in Wayne,PA. If I had ever been invited out there, I was planning to stop by. You should move to Houston. It will cure your gaming deprivation.

Yeeeees. We approve of this message.

And it's supposed to start snowing today - right about the time we're ready to leave.
Weather's rough here in Houston. Why, we're barely going to reach 80 today.
makes mental note to hire FHDM to do his snow dance and direct its awesome mystical power at Houston

::sniff::

Your jealousy is showing. Don't be jealous, join us!

HOUSTON!

I think all the FAWTLY folk who have not yet moved to Houston should do so. Then we can slowly migrate into the same neighborhood. Once the FAWTLY population reaches critical mass we take the place over and re-create it as Hobbiton.

Think about it - summer block parties where all we do is game from dawn until the following dawn.

We approve this message.

Our plans are working. We only need about 4 more FAWTLs to hit critical mass...

Yay for peace and quiet! Yay for birthdays! Yay for the prospect of the royal FAWTL family moving to the true headquarters of FAWTL, new york city! :D
fify

HOUSTON IS THE TRUE CENTER OF ALL THAT IS FAWTL!

NY may, however, be our secondary headquarters, if you wish. We can evacuate there in case of hurricanes.

Are you sure you don't want to move to Houston?

This Lazoth fellow will fit in swimmingly well. He'll probably be moving to Houston soon.

Oh, and watch out for the random -

How's life been treating you E7? Well I hope.

Overdrive. Boss retired and I got her workload dumped on me with only a token raise. Daughter is off to college. Changes are heading to our company. Good and bad, but being busy is good.

How are things wit ya?

Fair to middlin.

Wife has a tentative job offer that may have us in Houston by next March, with moving expenses paid if it all works out. So we're keeping our fingers crossed.

If Houston does happen, it'll strengthen the chances that I'll have to find a way down that direction and raise hell.

Miss you guys.

DO IT.

Ok - I did go back and read a little ways

As a Houston member of FAWTL, it is your duty to help spread and enhance the FAWTLiness of Houston! Snap to it!

Houston is the nexus of FAWTL-ness! You should totally come visit some time!

I'll have you know I've MET Houston. He was pretty cool, but he seems to be more of a person than a location.

Now you are just being difficult!

Come visit Houston! We will bribe you shamelessly with gaming, lots of conventions and food!

ALERT. ALERT.

There will be a bacon themed Woot-off Tuesday and Wednesday.

This has been a test of the Bacon Alert System. Had this been an actual Bacon Emergency, all your bacon are belong to us.

Thank you.

DO EEEEET!

Move down to Houston! We have air conditioning!

Houston is a wonderful place for gamers, especially gamers of the FAWTL persuasion, to live. We encourage all who desire access to many games, many gaming conventions and a hellishly hot climate with little to no snow to move here for unlimited opportunities!
