Have you tried feeding them poison wood?
Hey........
For you it's probably known better as "antibiotics"

Whew! Gotta keep my wood healthy!

Oh, he didn't really get a hold of coffee. That was just "creative license" on my writing staff. I'm not really sure why he was a little bugger last night.

I did once give Charlie some Dr. Pepper. My wife has since forbidden me from doing so......

sneaks in during lunch

Argh. Busy days. I fear that I may have to give up my annual Festival of Me in future years. Taking leave from work in October is just getting increasingly untenable. :P

How's everybody?

The Exchange

What happened to Charlie and the Dr. Pepper incident?

The Exchange

Please tell us she allows nibbles of Popeyes?

Dammit. It's seriously raining. I am afraid that it might be the start of actual rainy autumn. And it was so beautiful for the whole day...

Overdrive. Boss retired and I got her workload dumped on me with only a token raise. Daughter is off to college. Changes are heading to our company. Good and bad, but being busy is good.

How are things wit ya?

Fair to middlin.

Wife has a tentative job offer that may have us in Houston by next March, with moving expenses paid if it all works out. So we're keeping our fingers crossed.

If Houston does happen, it'll strengthen the chances that I'll have to find a way down that direction and raise hell.

Miss you guys.

Duh. Google Chrome on my reserve computer died of unknown cause and any attempt to reinstall ends with crash of the install process. Adjusting Opera interface is a pain in the lower backside.
What are you using to remove Google Chrome before re-installing it? That may be part and parcel your problem.

Probably the problem lies with the system profile or something like that. The windows settings were reset when I started the computer and Google Chrome directory was nowhere to be found. And when I turned the computer again when I returned home, the windows settings and Opera settings (I haven't done much beyond changing those) reset as if the computer restored windows from last backup (or what's-its-name).

At the moment I started asking friends if they don't have spare parts so I could assemble a new "old reserve computer" which would also happen to be my gaming computer.

If I manage to assemble anything remotely working I might give Windows 8 free version try (assuming it can be still downloaded for free). Or ask friends for some noob-friendly Linux version.

I'd recommend using a program like Revo Uninstaller to remove all traces of Google Chrome, reboot your system, and then re-install it and see if it starts working again.

The free version is sufficient for your needs.

I only know of Cream Lemon.

You've obviously visited one before by that remark. I'll bet it's during your second job.

I doubt it would work - it's seems to be general problem with windows registers - maybe undetected virus, maybe just the crap that gathered through the years and passed the critical mass threshold now. Currently I only turn on the other computer only to play Avengers on facebook anyway.

No, I knew of it before the second job - - its one of the first hentai I know of. The Wikipedia entry gives it a VERY bad introduction, but check it out.

Thunder birds keep buzzing the house.

Oh, you haven't had time to get things lined up for the project in the last 3 months? The project that is due in 3 weeks?

Yeah, I can pick that up for you. I don't have anything on my plate right now, with the new job, 2 new team members, no one that I can delegate to, and year end arrangements hitting the fan. Sure. I'm happy to help.

Oh, I have to head to LA to do that? And still keep things moving here? Sure, no problem.

The above statement does not necessarily reflect the views of the writer. (But it does.) Any resemblance to a sane person is completely coincidental.

He was referring to Lemon Party.

Spoiler:

Given the abundance of gay porn on the net, I have no idea how that particular image became a shock-site meme. It's positively tame, apart from the fact that the guys are old. (But then, there's a whole genre of "mature" porn out there, gay and straight, which I am sure could have yielded more shocking photos than that one...)

I am having a good afternoon. I got a 100 on my C++ quiz, finally figured out how to make an input file actually, you know, provide input (visual studio was saying the file was in one location and it was actually in another location....was a big mess), had a delicious pumpkin scone for snack and sobe waters were on sale. :)

Now I expect a number of sneaky attempt to provide Charlie with Dr Pepper from FAWTLies just to see the effects.

I would never give Charlie Dr Pepper.

You ought to be ashamed.

5-hour energy and/or Red Bull would be much more effective.

Not actually upset, it's a very nice prize I'm getting.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday! Today is my co-workers last official day of gov't service. He is retiring. So I wore my new festive Hawaiian shirt! And my branch is going out to lunch today!

Scarab Sages

Mmmmmm....Celebre's Pizza!

Scarab Sages

And the wife comes home on Sunday! Huzzah!

Scarab Sages

Of course, the wife's meeting officially ended yesterday. When I spoke to her on the phone, and asked if she was working today, she said she'd be writing her report.

Naturally, she'll be writing it from the beach.

Scarab Sages

And here I thought she missed us.

Scarab Sages

When I was on travel, I got out of there as soon as I possibly could.

Scarab Sages

Just saying.....

Scarab Sages

And, yes, I've been giving her a hard time about it.

Scarab Sages

Driving in to work this morning I was listening to the radio. They had the "Question from Hell". The guy who called in and answered correctly said he worked at the Navy Yard - same place I work. He also said his name was Jim. I thought it might be my co-worker, since he's usually in by that time.

Sadly, it was not him.

Scarab Sages

Didn't feel like fighting with Charlie over his dinner last night, so he had a crapload of Cheerios and a Graham Cracker.
