There is only one way left to go. B34 is just a hallway.

B35:
Thick sheets of spiderwebs hang from the walls and ceiling of
this filthy rubble-and trash- strewn room. In places, the rubble and garbage have been heaped up into mounds and shapes that almost look like undersized furniture-beds and tables and chairs sized for small humanoids.
The bulk of the mite tribe dwells here, along with two giant spiders they use as mounts.

Nice I like it Mark.

The king tells you to go down...

In the room:
At one end of the room, a great stone sarcophagus covered with arabesques and calligraphy sits, displayed upon a tiered dais. Opposite the sarcophagus stands an ancient shrine consisting
of an upright wooden box, its faded colors also covered with ancient scribblings in black and gold. The shrine is flanked by short rows of badly tarnished candleholders holding naught but clumps of dried tallow.

Sorsha hits #4 for 9 total. #4 9/15

It feels like you are stabbing gritty pudding...

I'm still here if you guys are...

Works for me.

11 dead dwarves.

Gur did not notice but the one at first. It does not take the 4 of you long to find the other 10 scattered around the marsh. It seems normal carrion animals will not touch these bloodless corpses...

Wow this game is getting dark lol

I feel like I got a good grip on the combat now.

I'm gonna give my monsters a ton of HP and have them hit really hard. Combat will be a race to see who can beat the other side down the quickest lol.

Clobbidrin this is the final resting place of your lost party. They were drained by the spider but they were also bludgeoned to at least near death with something very heavy.

Spoiler:
Possibly something wielded by a monstrous Flesh Golem?

Clobbidrin knows how to prepare these bodies so that they can not be razed from the dead but it will take time. 1 Hour per body. How many dwarves did we say were in your party Clob?

Grim Pops the lock with ease.

The slaves are a little scared by the Large white gnoll's questions.

K.K.King? Are you not here to help us? I I know nothing of a harem....Sir

Round 2 Starts. Everyone can act. Everyone except Shorsha has a -2 to attack and skills.

All 5 Blobs step up and attack.

1 Attacks Garrand: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16..Miss
2 Attacks Xeno: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14..Miss
3 With Sorsha not in sight anymore he steps up and attacks Nilus with flanking: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17..Miss
4 Attacks Nilus with Flanking: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17..Miss
5 Attacks the poor NPC: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15..Hit 1d4 ⇒ 3

Sorsha Makes an acrobatics check to move to get into flanking with Nilus.

1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25 She tumbles past the slow moving blob creature with ease.

She only gets one attack off and it still misses. (Map Updated)

Talon just missed his fort save vs poison by 1 so with Clob's healing he manages to fight it off with the loss of only 2 con until he can rest properly.

No sooner then Talon passes out does Clob get him consensus again. Clobbidrin you see the divine wand that the young woman was trying in vain to use.

It is starting to get darker so it must be night. In this part of the world you have less of a day and night and more of a dusk and night. Even still Gur searches around and finds the something truly awful...

Gur:
You find not only the body of the young girl totally exsanguinated but also those of a large number of dwarves that have been drained of blood as well. The dwarves show signs of other trauma as well but you are not much of a doctor.

Grim you find the door to be magically sealed. And just out of your ability to open it. DC 20 Disable device.

Perhaps if you had more information about the nature of magic locks you could take your time and try again.

If an arcane spell caster can tell you about arcane lock I'll allow you to take 10 an pop that sucker open.

Slave Leader

You seek out the Carrion King? You are very brave indeed! The way to that evil lies behind us. We will lead you to him but we will not follow. There was a slave rebellion recently we were unfortunate to not be a part of it. Now that we are free we must try to find our families. We can never thank you enough for what you have done for us.

You are told to go back to H1 and down another set of steps there. The carrion King's "Maggot Throne" is just north of the temple you will find at the bottom of those steps.

Garrand you know what these things are despite the -2 you suffer.

Xeno you can not attack this round as you failed your Fort Save.
I will let you use that 14 roll for a fort save to be sickened next round.

Plus if you can hit the thing next round I'll allow you to keep that shocking grasp damage cus...Wow.

Shorsha your up please.

The Great Dome map is the dungeon map by the way.

It looks like you would be most likely to go to one of the following.

H10:
At one end of the room, a great stone sarcophagus engraved
with arabesques and calligraphy sits, displayed upon a tiered
dais. The top of the sarcophagus lies broken in several pieces
on the floor. Gnolls looted this tomb long ago. Nothing remains
inside the sarcophagus but dust and a few crumbled bits
of yellow bone.

H11:
The rough-hewn passage widens, emptying into a larger
excavation site in which the upper corner of another, older
structure protrudes from the surrounding earth about a yard
above the floor. A sizable hole has been cracked out of its
ceiling, from which protrudes a ladder of lashed sticks.

H12:
Collapsed Staircase
The corridor slopes slightly upward, leading to a collapsed
staircase buried beneath tons of rock and rubble.

H14 The door in the room you are currently in.:
The door is locked tight.

H16:
Foyer
A recently repaired hole in the eastern wall of this otherwise empty room stands partially blocked by three boulders cemented together with dried clay.

Cold Iron is not the same as silver correct?

Gur and Clob take the creature down.

49/78 damage so far.

We will go to round 3. Gabbi can take 2 actions this round.

The Spider pops behind Talon once again and attacks.

1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 10 + 2 = 25..Damage to Talon: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 6) + 7 = 16

Gur you fight the poison off and you can take an action this round. If and when you charge you will be hitting the spider from the front this time.

Talon make another Fort attempt to fully resist the poison.

Your in H13 where too now?

The Clouds are the Lemures.

They are slow and dumb Players go first.

5 Lemures are summoned forth. Each only 5 feet in front of the actor.

The least of devilkind, lemures roil forth from the ranks
of souls damned to Hell, shapeless masses of quivering
f lesh. What spark of instinct or memory lingers on
within a lemure’s semi-consciousness regularly shapes its
features to mimic those of its tormentors or the tortured
souls around it. Grotesque and useless, a lemure’s
features speak nothing of what it once was. Many
exhibit multiple terrible visages or are nothing more
than churning pillars of cancerous f lesh. Only their
knobby, f lailing limbs work as they should, and those
they merely use to destroy any non-infernal life that
draws too near. Moving lemures typically congeal
in forms over 4 feet tall and weigh upward of 200
pounds, though when at rest these disgusting fiends
often appear to be little more than lumps of melted
flesh and malformed features.

AC 14, touch 10, flat-footed 14 (+4 natural)

Fort +4, Ref +3, Will +0
DR 5/good or silver; Immune fire, mind-affecting effects,

Shorsha killed the fort roll so she is not affected by the eggs. Crazy Halfling stomach

Nilus and Garrand are sickened for 2 rounds. Sickened: The character takes a –2 penalty on all attack rolls, weapon damage rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.

Xeno is Nasuated For 2 Rounds.Nauseated: Creatures with the nauseated condition experience stomach distress. Nauseated creatures are
unable to attack, cast spells, concentrate on spells, or do
anything else requiring attention. The only action such a
character can take is a single move actions per turn.

Garrand wrote:

As the fake Adria falls Garrand will add lib to the audience, "Oh well, we had to many Dentris' anyway."

[dice=Fort]d20+2

Big Laugh.

Good acting rolls that will increase your fame.

The way I see it Clob you are just getting into the fight and the spider just popped behind Talon. There fore you are attacking from the back so you do Hit!

Same goes for Gur if he gets up.

The Birthing Trial:

Targets Larazod, Dentris, Drovalid, Ilsandra, Tybain

Torment—Crimson Egg: A PC must make a DC 15 Fortitude save
upon eating his egg. Failure indicates he is nauseated for 2
rounds. Success indicates he is merely sickened for 2 rounds.

Upon eating your egg 5 creatures made to look like each of you including Illislandra appear and attack.

Illislandra fails her save and becomes sick.

Give me a few to get a map up. Please roleplay

Some of Maloch's stage hands goes and "attends" to the fallen "actor" you will be able to question her later. All because a few of you befriended the hunchback.

Act 5: The Birthing Trial Xeno takes over as Adria clumsily having to be fed all her lines. No time to ask who this helpful stranger is the show must go on! Also I forgot about the NPC actor Illisandra. You will have to keep her safe in the coming battles.

HAANDERTHAN
You have crawled from the maw of the Beast. Let us see
what blasphemous lies slither from your treacherous
insides. Show them.

The Bailiff brings out five crimson eggs.

DROVALID
Dear Asmodeus! Spare us!

LARAZOD
What means these strange crimson eggs?

DROVALID
Oh horror beyond nightmare! The eggs, they burrow deep
within us. They hatch deep in our insides, churning ourguts to paste and slurping them through gritted devil teeth.
They feed on our souls. When these foul devils have eaten
their fill, they tear their way free—terrible things! Hideous
devil-children bearing our own faces, but filled with hate
for all we are. We are mothers to twisted things and look
upon our own visage as we die by their taloned hands.

HAANDERTHAN
Shall you recant now, or will you give birth to abominations
of your very flesh?

ILSANDRA
Do your worst, fool of a mortal. I am a princess to hell, and no
child born of my black soul shall bear malice against me.
Larazod lifts the Bailiff off the ground by the throat with one
mighty hand.

LARAZOD
Ha! Give me your egg, you lickspittle. If Asmodeus wishes
it, I shall choke the life of my own devilish child with glee.
I gulp this egg down before this court and our dark lord’s
very eyes.

DENTRIS
Well, give me mine. Not much good it shall avail you.
The real Dentris Maltrada was killed ages ago at my own
devilish hands when I was born from his old soul. I am a
child of this egg

TYBAIN
Truly?! I had no idea!

DENTRIS
If only everyone was as naïve as ye, paladin.

TYBAIN
I like eggs! Red, white, or otherwise. Hand me mine! I’ll
eat it raw!

Wha pet? OH ya! Me own pe pole r nut a bill uv goink deep inta de low place. Off ya go fin me sleepy cron heroes!

If Gur makes his save he can act in round 2 normally.

Round 2!

The spider pops out of existence again only to appear behind Talon!

Attack on Talon: 1d20 + 10 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 10 + 2 = 26..Damage to Talon: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (6, 4) + 7 = 17

This is how the Poison works except for the one I hit Gur with.

Poison (Ex) Bite—injury; save Fort DC
18; frequency 1/round for 8 rounds;
effect 1d2 Constitution damage; cure
2 consecutive saves. The save DC is
Constitution-based.

Players can take their turns.

Fort DC 18 Gur. Damage Gur Took: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (4, 1) + 7 = 12

Spider

AC 17, touch 12, flat-footed 14 (+3 Dex, +5 natural, –1 size)
hp 78
Fort +8, Ref +8, Will +3

Talon runs in and hits the creature for 21/78

AoO on Talon: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29..Damage to Talon: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (1, 6) + 7 = 14 DC 18 Fort Save Talon.

Gabbi also runs in to touch the creature Fort Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 The Spider resists the effect of the spell.

Gur make a Fort Save for me to get yourself up out of the mud.

Male Slave:

We know little of these creatures other than they are normal gnolls that have been altered with magic to make them huge and insane. The scar must be part of that process.

51 Damage! The Fake Adria Falls into the music pit at -1 HP.

The Tiny King Claps his hands and tells you that his beloved pet Clickylegs wandered off and king Zuuga wants this pet (the exact species
of which he can't seem to remember) returned to him not because of any affection he had for the thing, but because he keeps his "spare crown" in a pouch tied to one of its legs. He promises a reward of a diamond the size of his head if they return his sleeping crown to him.

Since Gur is MIA currently...

You both detect magic just as a Large spider-like monster with an eerie, humanoid face surrounded by a shaggy mane of fur appears behind Gur and sinks its fangs into the orc and tosses him into the Mud!

Gur if you come back we will get you back into the fight. Otherwise Gur is in the mud fighting for his life vs the poison. Oh and its a Phase Spider if you did not figure it out.

If no one objects Ill run this combat with no map 1 Creature should not be hard to keep up with.

Start your Round 1 Actions!

Well thanks AP...Lets handwave it and pretend its just a very, very, thick common.

The "King" clears his throat and speaks again this time a little slower and it makes sense!

The band of slaves will be eager to beat the creature into a pulp if allowed. This is one of the "Unchosen" feral gnolls that even the smaller gnolls can not control and are scared of. These "Unchosen" are let loose to wreak destruction at will when attackers, like the Trogs or a slave uprising happens.

The gnolls carry spears with hollow heads with a chemical that makes the creatures docile and controllable. You are told.

Quick rundown of these things that's all. Feel free to ask more specific questions.

No...Its quite dead...as I knew it would be lol. Final count 100 damage in one round...Oh and its on fire now.

If she is not stopped she will escape and give you a nice side quest later ;D So its up to you kill her or let her go and finish the play. Or anything else you can think of, of course!

34 Damage Total (Did Everyone add the +1 from the song?)

The Fake Adria Jumps off the stage into the crowd. (attacks of Opportunity if you wish. It is obvious she is running away)

Ok...Battle Map Updated. The Green Square is the Giant Gnoll.

Gnoll charge attack on Kronus: 1d20 + 12 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 12 + 2 = 25

Claw,Claw, and Bite: 2d6 + 18 ⇒ (5, 5) + 18 = 28 Yes I am aware this is not by the rules

The Monster Of A gnoll sets upon Kronus with all it has!

Players turn

AC 17, touch 11, flat-footed 17

Fort +8, Ref +1, Will +1

Current AC 15, 9, 15

does no one know Undercommon?

23 damage nice!

Luckily dwarves are not known for their speed and Clobbidrin did not get far enough away to get lost.

You all huddle together as the mist seems to get thicker. (no game effect at the moment)

The cry's for help come from all directions now.

Survival Check if you want to continue to follow the tracks.

Work is crazy right now hopefully it will get better guys.

The slaves basically will stay back and fight as much as they can but armed with only crude clubs and no armor they will mostly follow behind you and bash anything that is still twitching when you clear a room. As soon as they get there senses (as soon as I can come up with it) they will give you some valuable info on this place.

The giant Gnoll is very evil (over 5 HD)

Not only does it not want to talk it shows no signs of even understanding spoken words. It Roars in your general direction and rushes into melee with the much larger numbers.

Good Guys: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Bad Giant Gnoll: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14

Give me a bit to get a map up. Hajar and Kronus up front I guess?

Xeno don't worry about the illusion on you it will last until the play is over.

Garrand Missed.

Xeno Missed.

Nilus and Shorsha see the map and take your actions.

Adria 20 AC. 16 Flat. 14 touch.

H13:
A battle has recently taken place here—the walls are pattered
with fresh blood, and the bodies of what look like three men lie scattered in pieces on the floor. You barely have time to take in the scene as you see a hulking monstrosity lumber forth. Its canine jaws snapping ferociously. Its matted, speckled hide and hyena-like cackle hint
at its animalistic nature, yet it walks like a man, even though its
grotesque proportions seem wholly unnatural. A circular patch
of thickened, gray scar tissue nestles in the filthy fur in the center
of its forehead. It's fur is so matted with blood there is no way to tell what color its real fur is.It is a unarmed large sized gnoll.

Shorsha digs her Daggers into a crack made by Nilus's Morning star and with the magic dagger wedged in like a chisel Nilus gives it one more hit and cracks open the "belly of the beast" The three of you are free and Can take Round 2 Actions along with Xeno's Round 2 action.

Sorry to be railroady had to make some major adjustments to get Xeno in the game.

Battle Map Grid Updated

Adria 5 Foot Steps forward and Attacks Xeno 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18 Miss but if it is withing 5 of hitting so Only 4 Images left correct?

"Whenever you are attacked or are the target of a spell that requires an attack roll, there is a possibility that the attack targets one of your images instead. If the attack is a hit, roll randomly to see whether the selected target is real or a figment. If it is a figment, the figment is destroyed. If the attack misses by 5 or less, one of your figments is destroyed by the near miss."
